Finally I maxed out my tower to 15TB with the addition of the last 2 WD red drives 3 TB 36hrs preclear all went well array is alright and new parity is good one question, I run version 5.0-rc10 should I update to the latest or keep this one? M@z

Hi guys I just completed the cache install and I want to install MySQL to my unraid for my xbmc(pi) library on my cache drive. Is this possible to install on cache? I tried searching but since im new to this the more I search the more I get confused Thanks for any tip you can provide Maz the linux noob :'(

extremeaudio its not under shares its under settings then Share Settings I hope this help

thanks dave_m thats exactly what I was missing I added also my cache drive at the same time I addded the parity I hope it wont create a problem Parity check...5.5 hourssssssszzzzzzz anything special you want to share about the cache drive? Thanks

some help needed after migration, I had setup my 4 x 3tb drives in my array. big mistake. I want to use #4 drive empty for parity drive when I stop array, unassign drive#4 and assign as parity I get this error Too many wrong and/or missing disks! what do I need to do to fix this(no data as been copied on this drive yet) Thanks Maz

Tom! http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=25608.0 I finally flashed my 2nd router with dd-wrt and set up as second AP on my network not the greatest solution: 2 login but its full bandwith vs repeater half bandwith Now UnRaid looks to be working fine, I will explore pluggins later Im trying to work with mediamonkey to sort my audio media and create a proper tree.. after my movie will be to sort if anyone have tips for me I will greatly appreciate I need to create all folders for my movies... Thanks to help if you can, comments have been very dry in the last few weeks

The preclear was a pain on 3tb drive 35+hours... all went well no errors, format done array started with no issues I have set my shares but I ran into an issue and I need some help im using split level 3 with the below tree I have uploaded a few files for testing via teracopy (29GB) my problem is when I go to my network share all the file shows in the proper folder but when I check each disk everything is going on disk1 all my other disk are empty, no folder created , not even media... this is my share.cfg if anyone want to help me out # Generated settings: shareComment="media server" shareInclude="" shareExclude="" shareUseCache="no" shareAllocator="highwater" shareSplitLevel="3" shareFloor="20000000" shareExport="e" shareSecurity="public" shareReadList="" shareWriteList="" shareExportNFS="-" shareExportNFSFsid="0" shareSecurityNFS="public" shareHostListNFS="" shareExportAFP="-" shareSecurityAFP="public" shareReadListAFP="" shareWriteListAFP="" shareVolsizelimitAFP="" Also, does high water need to reach a certain point(say 50gb) before going to another disk? maybe that's the reason I have everything on disk 1? isolated the pc and the tower on a gig switch and speed came up to 60 I think I have a bad connection I will check my wall plate. still working on my share issue

fixed the ram issue there was a setting in the Bios that I had overlooked 2 memtest passed, next up the unraid setup! Tried the Pi and it worked right up on 1st boot,lots of tweaking left to do on that...

Time for an update I received all my parts, some took longer due to boxing day and new year sales to ship. Im working on multiple thing at the time and Im not sure its a good thing expanding wifi coverage with a new DD-WRT firmware on a dusty router plus adding a few sitches to my network Working on the Raspberry pi and reading.... Now for Unraid My hardware build is now done pics below I have updated my BIOS to the latest firmware by INTERNET!! wow its a 1st for me to have an option in the BIOS for live update 1 min and it was done!! I have formatted and installed unraid free on my flash drive (used a 2.0 with advice from members here and kept my 3.0 for file transfer) All went well Now my next steps are to start unraid in the tower run 2 pass of memtest follow the setup guide I have a question; about my ram its ddr3-1866 on my main BIOS page its says ddr3-1333 but when I got further in my BIOS it say this Am I missing something here?? heres the build pics BIOS internet update The Raspberry Pi
