Hello, I'm about to purchase Unraid, and I have purchased an HP z440 (the layout is attached as a picture). I've found a deal of a bunch of 3TB SAS drives, but I don't know if they will work in my system. Can somebody please help me to know? I've only ever dealt with SATA and PATA drives and just recently learned that SAS drives were even a thing. My specific questions: Can I use SAS drives in my machine without a PCIe HBA? If I need to purchase a PCIe HBA... I have no clue what to purchase. I found a bunch on ebay flashed to IT mode, but I don't know which ones are good. Any help? Thank you so much! I'm trying to research and not bother people, but this is all very new to me and I don't want to spend money incorrectly.
