  5. It was either kingston or crucial. Since you have mentioned crucial didn't work (their site says its ok), didn't want to take any risk. I just got one stick for now. I will add one more down the road. With the dell pc4200 I used, I hear one beep from the mobo (but no video or anything). I will pick up the ram with one hour and let you guys know the result. tony

  7. the board is very very picky about ram.. out of all my 667 or 800mhz ddr2 sodimms, only a fraction of the sticks were compatable and working with the board. your 533mhz sticks will not work What ram are you using? Please give me the exact brand . The4-Pin External Power Connector is for external device just like the manual described or it is a source to power the cpu? tony
  8. I am not able to power on my board. Do I have to connect the 4-Pin External Power Connector? The led on the board is flashing green. Any ideas? I am using spare memory from dell laptop that is pc4200 533 mhz. tony
  9. I just got the board today!! Going to install a few different of NAS to evaluate. Is unraid free, up til how many drives free? How many GB of rams are you using? Tnt
  10. For the people that ordered this board, did you have it "drop ship" from SM? I got an ETA from SM for 3/9 (I ordered from wiredzone). Did you get the tracking number? If so, was it from SM or the vendor you bought from? Wiredzone is tired of me calling them, so they forward the reply to SM. tnt
  11. I am getting frustrated waiting for this board to arrive. I ordered from ewiz which showed it had some in stock. Then got an email saying the supplies ran out and they won't have it until March 16. I didn't want to wait and reordered from wiredzone which they told me they expect some on March 2 (I was willing to pay more). Then today, they told me it won't have any until March 8. Wiredzone: "Thank you for your order! Unfortunately an item in your order is out of stock. It is possible we had the item in stock and our inventory ended before we could process your order. " Is this board made of gold or SM just don't make enough ? tnt
  12. I will verify it tonight. But I did remember seeing it when I first opened the case . Motherboard hasn't been shipped yet from wirezone (they told me it will be drop ship from SM). Great! Another user stated that they thought it was in there, but I would appreciate your confirmation. Attached is a picture of the 4 pin CPU atx connector I am looking for. The manual only shows the existance a 4 pin MOLEX connector (I could buy an adapter, but would rather use a direct connection). Here are the pics: It does have the 4 pin CPU. The main connector has a 20+4 connectors as well. Btw, great case. I took out the cd rom holder in the pic. Waiting for the board to arrive. tnt
  13. Have you attempted to put the Supermicro X7SPA HF together with the Chenbro ES34069 yet? I was reading the documentation for the Supermicro and Chenbro and it appears this Supermicro board requires a 4 pin CPU power connection and there is no mention of the Chenbro power supply having one. I will verify it tonight. But I did remember seeing it when I first opened the case . Motherboard hasn't been shipped yet from wirezone (they told me it will be drop ship from SM). tnt
  14. How long have you owned this board? I just ordered the HF version from wiredzone. Anybody with first had experience with SM? Just curious. Gigabyte was a joke . Tnt
  15. http://www.buy.com/prod/1u-pci-e-x16-to-pci-e-x16-for-left-slot/q/loc/101/10409107.html Does this riser look to meet the spec for this motherboard. I am going to use a chenbro case. Might need to custom install . I will be placing a x4 raid card (3ware9650se) tnt
