i'm not running antyhing in the terminal, it runs automatically every 12hours. - I can see from the link you sent that the variables are added to the command, but that is why i'm confused.

Oh, I don't use it to automatically download so I'm not too sure. Probably some info in tbr documentation about it though.

The SATA connector is the Poster Child for how not to design a connector system.   It is very susceptible to vibration and to being loosened when the cable is disturbed by being moved.  (I would not recommend tying SATA cables together to 'dress up' the interior of the case as this can subject all of the cables in the grouping to displacement forces when one cable is moved for any reason.)

Personally, I would not open the case to check the cables with only one error.  You might cause more problems then you 'fix'.  If you ever do check the cables, make sure that they are all seated.  Do it twice being very careful on the second check.  And do everything-- both ends, Data and Power.

Ah OK, the case I have is pretty small so I can't do any cable management. When I'm next cleaning the case out I'll make sure they're all pushed in correctly :)

    Thanks

  4. Oh that's great! Thanks for confirming. I haven't had any other errors since that one yesterday.

I will check the SATA connector although I haven't opened the machine for a few months so I don't think it would be that unless they can come loose over time?

    Thanks again :)

  5. Hi,

I had this error show up yesterday whilst I was transferring files to my Unraid server. One transfer was being done using the upload function in

Dynamix File Manager and the other was using Windows, both transfers were being done at the same time and the files were exactly the same as I noticed Dynamix File Manager was a lot slower (they were being uploaded to different locations).

I received this error udma crc error count is 1 ST8000NE001-2M7101_WKD2JTVD (sdf) does this mean that the drive is failing and needs replacing?

In the screenshot attached is says the drive has an error...

    Thanks

if you use the baked in script i wrote by specifying your showname or show pid using env vars SHOWS and SHOWS_PID (left click edit container) then it will grab the best quality possible, if you REALLY want to do manual downloads then take a look at the following code i wrote which shows how to specify the quality you want:- https://github.com/binhex/arch-get-iplayer/blob/7547438865c73200dcf12a0466d48ed066b594c6/run/nobody/start.sh#L29

You're amazing! Thank you, the reason for manually downloading was this one didn't download due to me not setting it up correctly so I downloaded it using MeTube but it only did it as 720p. I ran the below command and it downloaded in 1080p :)

    get_iplayer --get 6401 --output "/unraidshares" --tv-quality="fhd" --force --overwrite

    Thanks again for your help.

the screenshot looks ok, so when manually downloading you use the container path, so using your example:-

    get_iplayer --get 6352 --output "/unraidshares"

in short container paths are visible INSIDE the container, host paths are visible OUTSIDE the container, i.e. unraid server.

Thank you so much! I just ran it manually and it worked although it downloaded in 720p whereas all the others have been in 1080p. Is there a way I can force it to grab the 1080p version or does it grab the highest quality available?

    Thanks again :)

looks to me like you don't yet understand how bind mounts work in docker, have a read of this:-

Hi binhex, thanks for coming back to me on this. This is all very confusing to me.

Does the attached look OK? or should the host past just be /mnt/

The strange thing is that get_iplayer is automatically downloading new episodes of the show but it just doesn't allow me to download them manually. I have tried using MeTube but that doesn't download them in 1080p like get_iplayer does.

    Thanks

  9. Is this script still OK to use? I think my database had become corrupt as it wasn't playing anything on the web but was OK on a Nvidia Shield. Luckily there was some sort of backup (I think Plex may have automatically did it) but I would also like to have another backup.

Also, if there was a need to restore, as @randalotto  mentioned above, how would this be done.

    Thanks

  10. Following on from my post above, I have tried removing the docker container and re-adding it but I still don't have any item listed in the output folder.

I also tried the following with the output command but it still does nothing.

    get_iplayer --get 6352 --output "/mnt/user/Media/"

I noticed that the memory usage for Docker increases after running it, so not sure if there's any setting that need to be changed when setting it up. It would be great if someone could help me with this.

    Thanks

  11. I installed this yesterday (not sure if I set it up properly) and I managed to get it working fine downloading the TV show Scam Interceptors, however I tried to download other shows to have a play around and then it no longer works. It doesn't give any errors. The below is what it shows when I tried to download the latest episode of Scam Interceptors, it says it converts to MP4 but I don't see any files saves.

Any help would be appreciated. I've been using unraid for months but still a noob at it.

Yes, It is a recent addition that will do most (if not all) of the things that Krusader can do.  I suspect that it is a bit more useful that Krusader in its standard configuration.  For example, it can access the Flash drive which Krusader cannot unless you change its PUID and PGID.    (I do believe that the author of this plugin is also the developer for Unraid's GUI so it is not a fly-by-night developer project.)

I just installed it and it looks like a great addition to Plex and I like that you don't have to open a separate window to use it. This is what I see when accessing my share folders.

That will fix it for all files that do not have the default owner/group properties.  But any files written in the future could still have the same problem.  (I suspect that It depends on which SMB user first wrote the file--- hence, 'owns' it) and  if a second SMB user who ***supposedly*** has read-write privileges to that Share tries to work with the file.)

I'm the only one that has access to the share, no other users on the Unraid server.

I just tested editing the name of a new file and it worked OK for me. Do you think I should still install the plugin you mentioned above though?

  14. Hi,

I have a share setup on my Windows 10 computer but when I try to edit file names it says the following:

You need permission to perform this action

You require permission from MATTPLEX\root to make changes to this file.

Is there a setting somewhere I need to enable to allow me to edit file names? It would be a lot easier for me to use windows rather than Krusader as I'm unable to copy and paste text using Krusader.

    Thanks

  15. Hi,

I tried installing the NordVPN docker container by bubuntux but I haven't got a clue how to use it, I thought it was going to have a webUI where I could connect and disconnect, but that's not the case.

Does anyone know how I can get this to work with my NordVPN account? I would like to use it to when connected to FTP (using FileZilla) as well as when using rclone scripts.

    Thanks
