My first time adding a drive to my array and I did not do a preclear. I'm an hour into it and only at 0.2%. In the meantime I have over 1500 bad sector count already. Is it normal to get bad sector counts during a clear? the drive was in one of my external hard drives that has not been in use for 2 years... I'm assuming it is NOT normal and I should stop the clear and throw the drive away. Any suggestions on how I should do this? Do I need to let the clear complete if I am only gonna toss the drive anyway? I dont want to screw up my other drives...
