  1. I have been using unraid for quite some time now, however whenever I have to deal with reboots due to power outtages or any other reason (today maintenance, so powered down the server manually through web ui and only turned it back on after the power and internet were all back up and confirmed working) It refuses to start again, to investigate I have to move it to a location where I can setup a spare monitor/keyboard etc just to see the terminal while starting, after which it typically boils down to the same steps: - Take the usb, copy the config files - Wipe the usb and do a fresh install of unraid - Reload the config files to the usb And boom.. it works again. The server runs perfectly fine for months, but when it just requires a reboot it breaks. I have tried different usb drives, I am using a "new" (purchased for this) sandisk cruzer ultra 3.0 (32GB) Why is this so unreliable? It is, in my opinion, the only (but major) flaw in unraid which makes it from one of the most stable systems to one of the least reliable ones. I would love if there is ever an alternative to booting from usb, because this is kind of a headache where a simple reboot turns into a big chore again.
  2. Hey all, I have been trying to get the unraid dark theme to work, like I have seen in several videos, but for me the top bar seems to turn white? I also liked the colorscheme of the gray version, but I would prefer keeping the original top bar instead of having it set to the side. I am just getting used to unraid and finally being able to find some things, it's kind of annoying having lost track of everything again already
  3. Hi all, I am just starting to get into the NAS business and building my rig tomorrow, but I have a question, and I am not sure if unraid can help me solve this? I would be running 2 HDDs in mirrored mode, but on here I will have a couple of folders that I would like to make additional offsite backups of on a weekly basis, I was thinking if I would be able to archive certain folders into a zip/targz (with a password) and then upload these to a google drive for example could be a nice addition to keep the most important stuff stored safely in another location (incase of a fire or break in etc)? Is this at all possible? Or do you have any other solutions/ideas on how I could implement something like this? The password archive would be a nice addition for me to make sure the files inside the drive would not be up for grabs due to a backdoor or some kind of leak. Kind regards, Alex
