Hello, I have a 240 GB ssd as my cache (old drive), I add 1 tb ssd now, and it only shows 240 GB remaining, my goal was to add more storage and redundancy, so now my question is it ok to pull out the 240gb ssd and just add an other 1tb ssd and my pool will be recalculated to 1tb raid1 with redundancy?? I have the latest pro version of unraid i'm lost and completely clueless, i really would appreciate your help And by the way how do you back up your cache pool. Do I just copy all the contents to a folder. I have docker apps that I'm worried to loose I look forward your support Regards, Ammar

no the Applications share is where the plugins installed (Sickbeard,Plex, Sabnzbd) the Media share is where i want my tv shows to be moved to, the apps share is empty i tried to delete it but for some reason i wasn't able to delete it so i just ignored it Regards, Ammar

thank you, im sorry i have been out of internet reach for the past few days, "lionelhutz" my problem is that i get a locked sign on my downloads file on the cache disk, these files are not moving to the Media Share, i tried using eveything i know to move them but they are locked, and everytime i download using sabnzbd + Sickbeard they get stuck there i have no idea what i did wrong in my setup. i added a screen shot of what im talking about thanks again Regards, Ammar

Hi All, im fairley new to the community and Unraid, i have recently build my unraid and it has been working perfectly, i have installed a few plugins: Plex Media Server, SickBeard, SABnzbd, i followed to the intstructions on the Lime Tech website on how to install them and it worked perfectly, then suddenly i noticed the Mover stoped moving my TV shows to the Share (mnt/user/Media/TV Shows) and when i go to the settings page to manually click move it deosnt move my shows, my tv shows are not acceseble on the cache drive and i cant move them. attached is my log Mar 21 19:47:46 Tower emhttp: shcmd (256): /usr/local/sbin/mover |& logger & Mar 21 19:47:46 Tower logger: mover started Mar 21 19:47:46 Tower logger: skipping Applications/ Mar 21 19:47:46 Tower logger: mover finished Mar 21 19:47:47 Tower emhttp: shcmd (257): crontab -c /etc/cron.d - <<< "# Generated mover schedule: 40 1 * * * /usr/local/sbin/mover |& logger" ==> /mnt/cache/Applications/sabnzbd <== ==> /mnt/cache/Applications/sabnzbd <== i noticed that it says skipping applications i dont know how to fix this please help me i have attached some screen shots please help me on how to fix this problem Regards, Ammar

Hi All, i have completed my Unriad build one month ago, my setup is: Supermicro MBD-X9SCM-F-O Intel Xeon Quad-Core E3-1230V2 16GB's of ECC RAM 120GB SSD Cache Drive 4x 3TB Seagate 7200 RPM Sata Hard Drives my problem has been mention before in the forums but never with a clear solution, and im a complete linux noob im using a Draytek Vigor 2130n Router connected to a Cisco 16 port Gigabit Switch, my whole home is wierd with Cat6 Cables now my problem is when i transfer Big folders to my User Shares ( Like movies) the transfer starts fast at around 210MB/s for 1 minute then drops to 2MB/s and keeps going lower till the transfer completes. i use AFP Protocol because im using a mac mini (weird Ethernet Connection) to transfer 60 GB movies from my Mac to the unraid it can take up 8 Hours im in the process of transferring 3TB of Movies and TV Shows to the Unraid but the Speed is killing me and i have no idea what the bottle neck is.. please help Regards, Ammar

Dear All, i have a problem, i have my mac mini connected to my Drobo 4 Bay using Firewire, the Drobo has run its cours and i decided to upgrade to a Nas, now that i have successfully built my Unraid and its running the Latest OS (unRAID Server version 5.0-rc11) which i find is stable, i would like to transfer all my movies folders 1.2TB and TV Shows 1.5 TB to my new unraid. i have tried copying in finder to my new folder i called Movies and TV Shows on my Media Share in the Unriad and its extremely slow and it ejects the unraid after 30 mins and my transfer fails. just for your information i have my unraid and Mac mini connected to a 16 Port GIGABIT Network Switch and i have managed to set a fix ip on my Unraid to 192.168.1.200 please please please help me, there is no use of my unraid if dont manage to transfer my files and folders safely i really need to help and advise on what and how to do it Regards, Ammar

Hi all, i just setup my unraid and its working well now i want to tranfer 1.5TB of TV Shows to it. i tried doing that using the finder and choosing my unraid then my new folder in the unraid (TV Shows) it only copied 66GB after a few hours my unraid ejected from the mac i did it again what only 240 GB it said 7 hours and after a few hours it eject and i barely got 50 GB my mac and unraid are connected to a GIGABIT Switch can i just connect the unraid directly and do the copy ? what method should i use ? is that a software any one recommends ? please help your input is much appreciated Regards, Ammar

Alright guys i think i might have figure it out, now when i came back home i turned on the plex client and i noticed that my tv shows and movies have been added, since im a extreamly new to unraid & lunix (3 days only) i decided to fiddle around with my unraid setting before i start trouble shooting useing your guidances (all of you that help me ) i looked at the my share file which i called "Media" in my unraid web GUI and clicked on it the i scrolled down and noticed that i chose "yes" in an open which said "use cache drive" then i went to the settings tab - and clicked on share settings, i found some called "Mover" at it was set to 3:40 AM by default!! so i decided to add more tv shows in my tv shows folder then i went back and clicked move now ( just to see what would happen) and all the files were added in to the Array! then i went to plex server GUI and i clicked on Deep scan and THERE IS WAS everything was added im actually embarresed about it and i apologise for asking for everyones input in such a dum matter, but lesson learnt and i hope this will help the next noob who searches for this problem. i hope to learn more and help ad Value to the Great forum and Software (Unraid) Thank you All for your kind assistance and support Regards, Ammar
