Or should i move all ip config to eth2 ?
-
I just inserted a PCIe card for 10G sfp.
It is linking fine and working.
But i like the "active-backup" solutoin so if the fiber (10G) is down it switch to the 1G port.
I have switched around the mac adresses so the "eth0" mac is on my 10G card. I looks like this:
But when i deisable the 10G link
I dosent failover to the 1G port. What am i doing wroung?
Meny thanks!

Hi all
Just saw that a tracker says my connection is "closed"
SOOO long ago i messed around with the wg0 config.
I use OVPN.
Just tryed crating a new port and config but then i get
Warning: `/config/wireguard/wg0.conf' is world accessible
Is that a bad thing?
Somebody have the "guide" how to portforward in OVPN?
Thanks!

Hi all
Just saw this AWESOME project. Is it possible "someone" could make a container for this?
Could be so cool!

Im so confused about this
Si right now you dont update the repo with the lastes version? Only if we have the mini parametre?
Sorry that i dont understand this

The Version Parameter works only with mini.
https://hub.docker.com/r/saspus/duplicacy-web -> Environment variables
Clarify for mini on the Docker Site and here https://forum.duplicacy.com/t/how-to-use-recent-duplicacy-web-release-in-a-docker-container/8443/
Okay just so im sure. I wont get the latest version of duplicacy if i do not add the "mini" parameter?

Where are you restoring? Should not be on the external backup drive...
Im trying to restore to a share called "Restore"

I would say yes. Its that true can only say the Developer.
You would set mini tag too. saspus/duplicacy-web:mini
"Than we are waiting for the published of 1.8.0 over the latest Version from duplicacy.com URL. https://duplicacy.com/latest_web_version for all."
Oh sorry i dont quit understand this? What is web:mini? Is it no the full version like i run today? Why does it not just update with
saspus/duplicacy-web ?

Your backup is in archives, right? If so the user/perms of the backed up files are stored in the archive and the drive perms don't matter.
Yea they are
But when i restore with duplicacy it tryes to restore the owner
Thats why i will like it to just be "nobody"
-

Yes, that's the CLI Version.https://forum.duplicacy.com/t/duplicacy-cli-3-2-3-release/8019/1
The 1.8.0 is the Web/GUI Version.
Okay so
I make an envoriment variable with
DUPLICACY_WEB_VERSION
And set it to 1.8.0
Is that stable version? 😊

No. That shouldn't be a problem for anything though.
It is becurse my app data backup is going to that drive. And that is a problem when i restore that it is with root. I will like to do it with nobody 😊

In the FS column in UD.
But it's ExFAT. That doesn't support any type of ownership/permissions, everything is always available to anyone.
Ouh can you tell me a little more?
i can see that the folders are root.
So i cant change that? Do you now my options?

@KluthR
AH okay i just tryed to make a restore of a file in my picture folder that has "owner" nobody and that worked!
When will the plugin be done and I can change it to "nobody" ?

Dont know how duplicacy is working here. Appdata backup used to use root:root as user/group. The newest beta sets nobody:users as user/group. Maybe you could test the newest beta OR you set one test backup to nobody:users and test a backup/restore cycle.
HI
I cant change a backup owner?
Is that becurse the folder "Backup_external" is owned by root?

Hi sir
Meny thanks!
How can i test that?
I can see that duplicacy container is set to USR_ID 99 and GRP_ID 100 if that say you something.
I made a post here
https://forums.unraid.net/topic/152827-restoring-with-duplicacy-fails-becurse-of-permissions/

HI all
I use this nice plugin to backup all my containers Dont know if im totally off course here
I do the backup to a external SSD.
Everything good.
But i also use duplicacy to backup the external drive to a google drive.
But when i restore i get
“ERROR RESTORE_CHOWN Failed to change uid or gid: lchown”
Something about permissions
Restoring with duplicacy fails becurse of permissions? - General Support - Unraid
Dont know if i overthink this can be done with a -ignore-owner in duplicacy.
But can i be that the "App data" plugin is been making the backuop with a user and when duplicacy is restoring its trying to set the owner that Appdata backup is using?
Can find a good answer to this.
Regards Daniel

Im being told in this topic that is becurse the container is been running as a specefic user.
Dont know if this could help?
https://medium.com/redbubble/running-a-docker-container-as-a-non-root-user-7d2e00f8ee15
I made this topic
