  1. Yeah I just dumped it on to open space on the array. I've precleared the new drive and the old reiserFS drive and I'm currently running extended SMART on the old drive. I plan to dump the array config and reassign all the drives while making sure the Parity drive stays there. I'll have to rebuild parity but I think It should go well. I know there's a way to do this without rebuilding parity but I can't seem to get screen installed on the server (the "switches" for NerdPack weren't working but it might be because the FS was read-only at the time). If I understood the guide correctly - you need to use the Clear Array Drive script and in order to do so you need to run a long process via SSH - and I wouldn't trust myself to not close it (or lose connection) while using the computer.
  2. That drive is coming out and getting replaced with a new one which I will be putting xfs on! Just got it cleared actually.
  3. Thank you @johnnie.black This is the drive I need to pull stuff off of and replace with a new 2tb drive anyways. Looks like --rebuild-tree might take awhile though. I guess I can wait a day
  4. Couple of docker containers are failing after removal of old drive and installation of new (xfs) 2TB drive. Didn't do traditional rebuild because of the want to move to xfs from reiserfs. I need to do this again shortly for another drive, and will be following this guide with much more care this time: https://wiki.unraid.net/File_System_Conversion Just ran through parity check and rebooted, still getting errors.   5. WOW - I believe this is actually a drive issue. Started a "non-quick" format to be thorough and in the mean time started troubleshooting the drive issues: Switched this drive into one of the slots of the working drives (SATA0 thru 3 don't remember which one) but the BIOS still didn't recognize it. Please don't close this thread yet, I will check in with final resolution. Thanks for all the help so far! Edit: Also - apologies for wasting time on a stupid issue
  6. The flash may be going bad, I had to pull the config directory from a backup in the middle of all this. Would you recommend using a different flash drive or scanning for bad sectors? All 6 ports being set to AHCI is the desired setting, correct?

  8. I apologize for my ignorance... I don't know how to do that or what that means. I just swapped the SATA Cable out, also tried port 5, same results.
  9. It appears there is no "AHCI" Specific setting. They were set to As Sata Type but I tried switching them back and forth anyways. I also tried disabling IOMMU because I read elsewhere on the forums that people have seen issues arise because of that. Any other ideas?

UnRAID Basic License - 6.8.2 Motherboard: GA-970A-D3P Detailed drive information for the 4 working drives in attached text file Having troubles adding a 5th hard drive on this motherboard: GA-970A-D3P (This is my first time trying to get this many drives running on this machine) Motherboard Manual: https://download.gigabyte.com/FileList/Manual/mb_manual_ga-970a-d3p_e.pdf What makes this slightly more complicated is that I had previously had this hard drive in the array and replaced it with a bigger hard drive. Long story short, a saw a few hints Because of this, I was trying to access the super.dat file to remove the entry manually but it appears to be encrypted or I'm stupid. I now believe this is due to an AHCI controller/driver problem because I don't even see the hard drive on the host (see attached text file for drives). I don't have a large amount of experience with this but I googled quite a bit to try and determine which controller that is on the motherboard but no luck. Do I need to run this script (or something similar) to get it to work or is this a simple BIOS change? I don't have access to the BIOS right now because I don't have a keyboard, gfx card or monitor, but I will run and get them all if we're thinking this is the culprit. AHCI Problems.txt

AMD-Vi: Completion-Wait loop timed out I've scoured the internet and it appears these boards lose USB capabilities when passing through the GPU. If I understand it all correctly.. playing with the IOMMU groupings wont even help me. Any other thoughts/recommendations?
  12. I am also having an issue passing USB devices on a very similar MOBO (Gigabyte GA-970A-D3P.) when passing through a secondary graphics card via iommu (RX480). I can't even get to the Windows install because I can't hit the any key. Anyone have any luck or ideas on this? I tried the hotplug USB plugin, no luck
  13. I can just do that by copying bzimage and bzroot over correct? Which one would you recommend? I just want to run the media server on the most stable one available..
