  1. I was writing a response because I had the same issue and went to check something on the UI an suddenly it was working again? I did a reboot because I thought that might fix the issue but after the reboot when I checked at first the problem persisted, then suddenly a few minutes later it seems to have fixed itself. I want to add that I don't think it's an ad-blocker issue, because I had the problem regardless of browser and now it's working again even on my browsers with uBlock origin. If rebooting doesn't fix it then maybe here's an useful thread I found.
  2. Thanks for the help, I was able to install the backup plugins an disable docker and VM Manager to run mover. I ran mover via 'settings > Scheduler > Mover settings > Move now' and It copied the folders, I think, because they're both on the cache drive and on the array so I think that's what you mean by the manual cleanup. It does look like all the files where copied so would it be safe to just delete those from the array at /mnt/disk1/ using 'Dynamix File Manager'? Maybe some additional uselful info:
  3. So I removed the ssd from the array, added it to the cache pool and rebuild parity. I now find that it displays 'some or all files are unprotected' next to some shares. So I'm probably going to set the 'use cash pool' to yes instead of prefer. Only with the appdata share I will enable the 'prefer' mode and use the plugin 'Appdata Backup/Restore v3' because then I can backup it (I don't have 2 ssds for redundancy). If the appdata share has 'prefer' enabled will mover automatically move it to the cache drive? Also here are the diagnostics:carr-diagnostics-20230126-1705.zip
  4. So yeah I want to move the system files (system, appdata, domains, isos) to disk2 which I just added to the array. Which is why all of those folders are on the wrong disk. Disk2 is an SSD so I'm thinking it would give me better speeds for docker containers and vms and all that stuff. I can't seem to understand how to move them because lot's of posts about the same issue mention cache pools but I don't have one. So what I did is set the Included disks to disk2 and then I copied the folders from disk1 to disk2 using 'Dynamix File Manager' (Didn't yet delete the files on the original drive because I don't want anything to break). Can I safely delete the folders from disk1 or not? I'm really not sure. Also I don't know why the appdata between the drives changed. It was the same before I rebooted the system. I have autostart enabled on some things so maybe it's that.
  5. I managed to finally solve the issue! I also found a link to this forum thread which add some important details the manual just doesn't mention. So first of all to fix the issue you want to edit your container and add a port. Specifically the port of your web ui. I found out that some containers already have this at default (like linuxserver's firefox) and some (like the official plex media server) don't. Which was the reason why I couldn't access the plex web ui If you add the port it should look something like this. You probably want to change the port tho. After that you can access the web ui without issue but if you go to any dns leak test you will probably find that your leaking dns. The mentioned thread above mentions how to fix that. Basically you want to add a '--dns=<DNS>' to the extra parameters setting which you can change by going into advanced view. Then replace the <DNS> with any dns provider that isn't your isp's. You can use google's: 8.8.8.8 or preferably the one which came with your vpn config. (The DNS in the vpn config doesn't get imported when you import a config) I would read the rest of the forum thread just to be safe tho. IMPORTANR NOTE: setting the dns in the vpn settings ('peer dns server') doesn't work. You HAVE to do it via the extra parameters otherwise your dns will leak!
  6. You can and I have set up a wg tunnel to vpn into my server (the 'remote acces to server' connection type), but I also want to have docker applications go through a vpn provider like for example for torrenting. The manual sais that this can be achieved via the 'VPN tunneld access (for docker)' connection type. More info of outgoing VPN connections can be found here. I followed the guide included in the manual and got my config directly from mullvad. On my own windows laptop I can enable a setting in the mullvad app so that I'm able to access LAN adresses. This setting however doesn't seem to be present in either the mullvad wireguard config generator, or the unraid settings. Since the mullvad app uses wireguard I can't understand why I can't enable lan connections in the unraid settings. It might have something to do with allowed IP's setting but I tried lot's of different combinations there and none of them worked.
  7. So here's the problem: I can't access the web ui of my docker application after i set the network type to my vpn provider (mullvad). I have correctly added a tunnel for Mullvad by downloading a configuration from then and then importing it into unraids build in wireguard and then setting the 'Peer type of access' to 'VPN Tunneld access for do docker'. When I change the network Type in my docker application to that wireguard tunnel I can't access the web UI anymore. I've searched around reddit and google but can't seem to find a solution that works for me. Here are some pictures of my settings: It MIght Be importont to add that the local ip of my server is 192.168.1.20 (default gateway 192.168.1.1) and that I don't really understand subnetting, even after looking it up a few times. I would appreciate any help.
  8. I heard that people have trouble with passing through hardware to vms in UEFI mode, also the integrated memtest doesn't work in UEFI mode so i had to download another image from there site and put it on another usb stick. But if those problems are uncommon then I'm totally willing to use it since I don't think there is any other way for me to use legacy mode.
  9. This is a screenshot from the manual but I get the same response. I don't have an external gpu (only the igpu) so I sadly don't think CSM is an option. Is there any other way or should I just stick to the UEFI mode?
  10. Motherboard: Asrock B660M-ITXac (manual) I'm trying to boot in legacy mode, but every time it just goes into BIOS. When i enable UEFI mode in the unraid install it works fine. In the boot options it shows: 'UEFI: USB, Partition 1 ( USB)' as the only option, even though UEFI mode is disabled in the UNRAID install. (settings from my BIOS) Boot > Fast boot: disabled (manual sais you can't boot from a USB storage device in fast boot) Advanced > USB configuration > Legacy USB support: enabled (I think this would be the setting to enable legacy boot) None of those settings fixed it though and I couldn't find any other related setting even when searching through the motherboard manual. Google searches don't help either since there are no answers for my specific motherboard. Any idea how I would be able to fix it? Let me know if I should supply any other form of information.
  11. Manual sais: "Please be noted that if M2_1 is occupied by a SATA-type M.2 device, SATA3_0 will be disabled." So i guess I'm good because I'm going to use a pcie ssd. Thanks for the heads up tho because that would be really painfull if after buying it I found out one of my sata ports didn't work.
  12. Also Important question, everywhere they say to not use controllers with hardware raid, but does that also count for the motherboard? EDIT: Updated the list https://pcpartpicker.com/list/NB4bfv Motherboard supports raid so let me know if that's an issue Currently only 4 sata ports but I don't need 6 right now, will buy an HBA when I do Also improved the processor to a 12th gen one
  13. I don't really have space constraints but i like the case + it's the one linus uses in his video. Are the negatives that bad? The only downside i saw was that I needed 90° sata cables for the hard drives I'm going to be the only one using Plex mostly direct play but i want the IGPU for in case i need to transcode. I'm the only one who is going to use it so I thought a IGPU would suffise. I want as much space sas possible and have parity but I don't have that kind of money right now so I'm goin to start with 3 6TB Drives and add/upgrade drives later if needed. Some guy said to not go after newer gens for their power saving capabilities, didn't think at the time that it also means that my cpu would be less powerfull so I'm going to pick a new cpu and motherboard
  14. So this is my first time building a pc in general and I wanted to post the parts I chose and ask if there could be any problems. Pcpartpicker list: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/QjbkPX The Nas Is loosley based on LTT's video: Questions I have: 1. In the notes it sais I need usb header adapters. Do I actually need those and where would I get them? 2. I have no idea how big the included cooler of the cpu is. And because this is quite a small case I'm not sure it will fit and I don't know where to check the dimensions of the cooler. Should i get another cooler like a passive one ore something else? 3. In the video linus uses intel optane as a cache. But it's quite harde to get. Can I just use any NVME m.2 ssd? If you have any other notes or advice please tell them to me (like changing a part or something), i would greatly aprreciate your help and thank you for taking the time if you decide to help me. EDIT: Forgot to say what I will be using it for. - NAS ofcource - Plex, that's also why I wanted an IGPU (for being able to transcode for only 1 user) - VPN, via wireguard - Minecraft / Terraria server - Some other things Becuase I'm going to run so many things at the same time I chose a cpu with a 'high' core count I have also been told that my cpu is overpriced so I'm already going to look for a better one (and motherboard because of socket) tommorow.
