I upgraded Unraid a few days ago and now my unassigned devices aren't showing and when I move to the Apps tab, it it also not showing and locks up the GUI. Anyone have any tips on how to fix this?
-
Yeah good point. I think I found a way to make it work through WebDav.

I'm trying to set up a remote UnRaid server I have as an FTP server. I know that UnRaid has FTP built in, but I haven't had any luck finding any guides on how to set it up and use it. Anyone who is knowledgable and can help me out? I would greatly appreciate it!

Has anyone found a good solution for off-site personal (computer to computer) backups? I have a server in Denver, I live in New Mexico, and would like to backup my New Mexico server to my Denver server. I think Duplicati allows backups to FTP, but I don't now how to set up FTP (yet). Can you use Duplicati to backup to Owncloud? Can Owncloud act as any kind of remote backup destination? It's not very expensive if I go the B2 route, but I would prefer to have my own personal cloud backup server.

I submitted a ticket to CP to ask them to consider a Home Lite version that is a cheaper alternative for those of us that want to sync/backup between PCs (or in my case two UnRaid servers). Not really a fan of cloud backup after some bad experiences.

So if I set Letsencrypt to host port 444, then I would go to my router and forward 444 to 443 (the container port)? I have an ASUS router and tried that but it wont take it. I currently have Nextcloud set to 443 to 443, should I delete that entry until I get the cert?

As long as the host port is different it's fine. Each container is isolated to its own docker internal IP. Just make sure you forward your routers 443 to whatever host port LE is assigned.
I already have port 443 forwarded to 443 in my router port forward setup. That is for nextcloud.

So I am setting up Letsencrypt, and I have a question about container ports. My Nextcloud is set to 443 for the container port, but Letsencrypt is on the same port. Is that ok?

Oh boy. Here goes, I'm going to ask you a super dumb question:
Where/how do I get my own domain? I'm not running any kind of domain server or anything.
NVM, went to DuckDNS.....more dumb questions to follow I'm sure.

This is covered in the guide....
Nuts, I was following the old guide. Do I need to install LetsEncrypt to get this working outside my network or can I skip that part?
-
I may be having a similar issue. I can access my Nextcloud Server from within my network, through the webui, but cannot get to it externally. I have the ports open because my setup is the same, though my external IP address has changed. When I try to access the server through the OSX NC client, I get a timeout error. Do I need to mess with the config.php file to add trusted domains?

OK, so I made sure to clean out the old install of MariaDB, rebooted the server, reinstalled MariaDB, and it now works!
-
OK, I think I found everything, including in the appdata folder. I'll try to reinstall and see what happens.
-
Is there a way to ensure I nuked every part of MariaDB?
-
OK, so I tried all kinds of things, but I will nuke it again and see what happens. Thanks for your help and patience!

I recognize I am pretty bad at this stuff, but I decided to nuke all existence of Nextcloud and Mariadb, and reinstalled both according to the guide. However, I cannot access my Mariadb at all. I tried going through the WebUI setup in Nextcloud, but I get that pesky error about failing while trying to create an admin user (password="YES"). I KNOW I am entering the password correctly. I tried going into Mariadb via terminal and issuing it:
mysql -uroot -p
But it still won't accept my password. I get an error:
ERROR 1045 (28000): Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: YES)
What am I missing here?
-
Alright, so I just went in an manually nuked the entire Nextcloud installation (appdata, etc.). Now I cannot connect to my MariaDB How do I go about getting my username from Mariadb? I can see my password in the docker setup for MariaDB.

No, as you have them in a /data mount, just make sure you keep that location wherever it is
Will do, thanks!

Yeah, easiest thing is to nuke it tbh.
Crap.....OK. If I remove Nextcloud from Docker will I lose my files?

Ugh, ok, I did some searching and realized I had to manually update Nextcloud using the guide on page 1. However, I must have been pretty out of date because when I get to the upgrade part, I get this error:
Exception: Updates between multiple major versions and downgrades are unsupported.
Update failed
So, do I just need to nuke the install or is there an easier way to upgrade to this most recent version?

This version of Nextcloud is not compatible with PHP 7.1.
You are currently running 7.1.5.Can anyone give me some insight into what happened? It is up to date as is MariaDB.
