  1. Thanks for the help everyone. Ordered a controller with one of the recommended chips and parity sync just finished without errors!
  2. Aha, is there a resource somewhere with controllers that are known to be working? The controller is new so I should be able to return it. Edit: did some googling and found the post with recommended controllers myself Thanks for the help and info!
  3. Hi I've recently setup my first UNRAID NAS. I added an 8TB parity drive and three 3TB drives for data. Yesterday I added an extra 8TB drive and while it was doing a read check, it found 2 errors on the parity drive and UNRAID disabled the parity drive. I stopped the array, unassigned the drive, restarted, reassigned, .. When doing the parity check it found around 900 errors. On the newly added drive it then found 2 errors. What I've done: - Opened up my case and checked the connections. They seem fine. What I did notice: both drives that got errors are connected to a SATA expansion card - Started the array and I'm running an extended SMART self-test. It's still running currently I've attempted to take a look at the diagnostics dump, but not sure where to start. I've attached it. If anyone would be able to help, would be much appreciated! prosper-diagnostics-20221214-0917.zip
