No, unless you find a bug that allows it, in which case it needs to get fixed ASAP.

Use the password manager built in to your browser, or a good third party one like Bitwarden (Vaultwarden available as a self hosted solution).

It was more of an issue for "non routine maintenance".  Trying to use a tablet one handed in the basement, etc.

Yea the main just last last pass running.  But GG trying to type the lastpass password, and then getting to the unraid gui etc, on a tablet, when you are already pissed off and in the dark because a sata cable is being crabby :P

  2. So when my company was upgrading their servers i inherited one, and used it as an unraid box.  A dell with 2 first gen lga 2011 xeons, 64 gig ram, and 8 3.5" hot swap trays.  And loaded it up with a bunch of 3tb refurbished reds.  The thing sounds like a low hair drier even when tamed, so it lives in the garage.

Years later ( was unraid 5)  Things have changed.  I only seem to use 7-8 TB, i dont host vm's, and just run a few dockers.  My backup (repeat after me, raid is not a backup) is just robo copying the array to another set of 3-6 tb drives i keep on my desk.

So the wheels started turning ( and the server is getting long in the tooth) about building something that could live in the room with me.  With my usage i could maybe stop using ECC ram, and build a little 35 watt box or something.  I was also thinking of ditching the whole array, and just getting a 8-12 tb drive.  I guess my main concern is their a point in running raid 1 with unraid?  Im wondering if i can just have 1 8-12tb in the unraid box, and then back that up to the 8-12tb that is going to be sitting on my desk.  I dont think unraid can do a parity check, that checks the whole drive, if its in raid 1 or just a drive without a parity drive.

Not sure if this is the correct thread to post in.  Ever since updating to V6.7 my Plex container has stopped working.  The issue I'm having is when attempting to login through the browser I'm getting "This site can’t be reached".  I'm going through the IP http://192.168.0.130:32400/web/index.html.  It has been working fine for over a year since I first installed until now.

    http://tower:32400/manage/index.html

Not sure if that will help.  Im currently trying to figure out why plex is working, but pegging 1 cpu core at 100% constantly since 6.7, but hey i have 15 other cores to play with.

How does it work? Does Sonarr push the file to the destination I provide?

In "docker land" the spot sab writes to, and the spot sonarr reads from,  needs to be exactly the same container path.

Sonarr pushes the files to whatever destination you set up for each series, in sonarr.  Where is pushes it has nothing to do with the problem of sonarr not seeing the sab downloads.

Squid I need your help again, I had to delete the Sonarr docker because it wasn't working properly and affecting my server. I thought I took screen shots of all the settings but evidently I did not, and now episodes that sabNZB downloads are not being automatically copied to my other server as they were before.

Sonarr and sabnzb need to have  the same container path in order for each other to see the episodes.  If sab downloads to /downloads and sonar is looking in /data, sonarr will never see /downloads, even if both point to /mnt/user/downloads.

  6. My current backup solution is some premade robocopy bat files, ran on some hot swap drives on my windows box.  I just pop in the drive, drop to dos, run the script, and the swap to the next hdd and run its script.  Nuttin fancy.

However now my server is ran off a power line adapter, and instead of getting 100 meg a sec, im getting 35 meg (still not bad).

Im wondering how do i adapt my solution to run off of drives(ntfs gpt) that are popped directly into the unraid box using unassigned devices, so i dont have to transfer over the network.

Is there a magic docker i can install that i can rig up a simple script for each backup drive to; replace file if changed/new, delete file if deleted at source.

    Midnight commander

    Rsync

    Krusader

    Dolphin

Im willing to use anything, even via putty telnet since its what i kinda do now with my manual start bat files.

  7. As an update on this, I'm currently running 6 drives in my T330 on the standard backplane and using the PERC H330.

SMART data seems to be working. All devices are passed through correctly and, touch-wood, everything seems to be working perfectly!

So i have to buy a mini mono card this week.  The perc 310 and perc 330 are within 20 bucks of each other.  Did you have to do anything special to the H330 other than set it to hba mode in the dell bios?

  8. Slightly off topic, but helium can go through a mylar balloon that is thermal sealed shut, pretty easy.  Id feel more comfortable if it was nitrogen filled, since at least that gas doesnt expand/contract, and is easier to seal than stock air.

  9. Ive seen some really odd ones coming from WD for use in dells and microsoft consoles.  Its possible that one side of the last platter is not in use and disabled.

If that is the case they could be 6 platter using 5.5 platters.  My HGST 6tb has 6 screw holes.  As far as i know HGST never came out with the 5.6tb, and went with HE6 and HE8 for 6-8tb.

    Hmm...

    6 800gig platters is 4800

    6 1tb platters is 6 tb

5.5 1tb platters is 5.5tb unless its fuzzy math

7 800gig platters is 5.6tb, if they are using black magic to keep the center mount holes.

  10. For $100 why not just stick with the tried and true sas 2008 cards?

PS:  ANY pci-e card will work in ANY pci-e slot.  Even if its a 16x video card, it you knotch out that wee bit of plastic on the end of the pci-e 1x slot, it will fit.

The first section of the slot is the power and first talking lane, and its all you need.  The rest of the 4x/8x/16x slot is just addition lanes.

  11. Anyone know which firmware i should flash to a SAS 9200-16e?  LSI only has one firmware posted (p5 from 2010), however if you look at the boards, the SAS 9200-16e and SAS 9201-16e are carbon copies of each other, other than the power supply sections.  Both use the LSI SAS2116 chipset.  And the SAS 9201-16e has new rom/firmware update for sep 2014...

Yes for the last 60-90 days you could pay for your card in, 60-90 days.

Yes for the last 90 days amd cards have cost 200-300 more for the litecoin tax.

Yes it will be worthless because 95% of the coins are horded.

Yes ive made $500 (real as in exchanged coins for real moneys) by running 5 cards since november :)
