can i mount it change the filesystem without formatting or is that my only option?

just double checking and making sure i explain all details first to make sure i understand. when i go to look at my files, ISO,music, etc it only shows that it is being stored on disk 2-8, so i am just wondering if there is a way to double check if there even is anything on that disk before i hit format? not sure if i cant see disk one when i look at where my files are stored because it is unmounted currently or if its because my stuff isn't on there in general. is there a way to check? also even now, and my disk array says i still have 47% available space, but if it wasn't mounted right how would it know how much space i have available , and would it be the same as it was before? because it is the same as far as it looks. please let me know your thoughts and thanks for your patience reading through my thought process!

so there is no way to save disk 1 without formatting it?

Seen to have been able to move the cache drive back to the pool and stat array, know its saying disk1 need to be formated and i dont want to loss the data on disk. should i wait for partiy sync or go ahead and format..? thanks in advance tower-diagnostics-20230227-0632.zip

after having issues i had to re set up my unraid server. I went click happy and added my cache drive (the one it use to be) to a disk spot on the array, i tried to stop array and change disk from array to cache but couldn't start the array. Should i just let it re build parity then change the disk to array then? Wish i wasn't gun hoe click happy but after a major issue i was just hoping to start it back up. I''l add diagnostic after parity sync is done but. can't i change it before hand....? i tried like i said and t wouldn't let me stat array to parity sync thanks for the help anything i can do or provide just let me know. i know i usually ad the diagnostic but i don't wanna stop it and have to stat at zero again..
