    I have exactly the same problem. The issue is caused (as far as I know) by the thumbnail generation, so I disabled it. 'enable_previews' => false, https://doc.owncloud.com/server/next/admin_manual/configuration/files/previews_configuration.html#managing-your-preview-settings
