Gee, make my first post in a while then I find the solution. Nope DNS pi-hole doe snot need to be on the same network. Just need the right route and port. TLS had to be disabled and the right port, might be one of these: 80, 8080, 443, 8443, etc BTW to review logs do this: docker logs -f nebula-sync this is how I found my errors FYI for sanity I did this: 1) to prove container exists: docker ps -a --format "table {{.Names}}\t{{.Image}}\t{{.Status}}" | grep -i nebula 2) Confirm it is running: docker ps --format "table {{.Names}}\t{{.Status}}\t{{.Ports}}" | grep -i nebula 3) Check logs to confirm: docker logs --tail 200 nebula-sync

So this will only work if the DNS pi-hole is on the same network as the Docker? Also how do I see the logs? or anything? I did a setup and it is running but I do not see any errors or any feedback in /various/log and no changes or updates on the primary nor secondary pihole. and yes my pi-holes are on a different network.

Any updates on this?? On my current version of QNAP (QTS 5.2.5.3145) and HBS3 (v25.1.5.204) I can get the SSH to success test on port 22, but fails on transmit test. Does anyone have this working??

Just so I understand. If I have a "bunch-o-disks" (speeds from SSD, 5400RPM to 7200RPM) I'd have to manually write a script to move files from one physical disk to the other disks based on last usage to the slowed and possible higher capacity disks to simulate my own personal tiered storage. If I do that what happens to the files in the file system themselves? My issue would be is that I use jdupes to hard link all duplicate files to one inode to save on storage. Wouldn't this moving of files about completely invalidate the inode map of when files are physically located to where the file system thinks they are? Again I am a newb at unraid, but I'm just trying to mentally understand how unraid lays out its file systems when compared to all the disks physically in the system. I thought unraid was working kind of like Drobo did, but that doesn't seem to be the case. thank you

Thank you and to bmartin, yes *I THOUGHT* I was selecting a color not a theme. Using martinis plug-in I have changed the color to a theme now. What threw me off was the label "Dynamix color theme" where I ASSUMED that it was just changing the color, so a better label might have just been "Dynamix theme" since it does change a lot more than just color. No to browser plug-ins, does the same in Safari and Chrome. UnRAID is v6.12.14. I reinstalled the theme and now in setting I see that I have "Theme Engine" and I can use that to change the color and look and feel and the menu doesn't swap back and forth. If however I use the "Settings/Display Settings/Dynamix color theme:" and change it there the theme selection DOES affect the layout of the menu. Is this resolved in v7.0.0??

I tried asking this on Reddit and got crickets, I hope for better help here via the forum. If I go to Settings/Display Settings/Dynamix color theme: I have noticed that if I change the "color" the menu changes from top to left. How do I fix this so that it doesn't keep flipping, or better is there a better plug-in for this that will keep through reboots and upgrades?? If this has been fixed / resolved else where please send me that link. All I have seen so far is creating a local non-surviving CSS file. Thank you in advance.

Yes thank you for responding. I get that, but the manual doesn't know about the fan locations, so I was hoping that others that used the CS380 would say where they plugged theirs into. Right now the case has two large fans near the front. I suppose / assume that either the other CS380 owners just plugged them into any fan header or they picked up a splitter to have the two fans run as one. I guess I could have been more specific in my request. I'm just looking for feedback on how other CS380 case owners did their installs.

Did you get any feed back on this? I too have an old USB that I want to reload with a current unRaid so I can test a potato server to see if it will work with unRaid. But I too get this error. HELP.

Sorry for restarting this, but I just picked up a new CS380. the side internal fans seem to be almost silent. However I am curious. On my ASUS P9X79LE motherboard where did you plug the dual side disk-drive fans. I have them plugged into the CHA_FAN3 and CHA-FAN4, but those wouldn't have sensors that correctly tell how the fans should spin, right?

Yep this is a newb question, but I have a 6bay HP Z-220 CMT i5 "Server" on a huge SanDisk USB drive. I just built an Ryzen 5 with MSI B550-A-PRO in a Thermalintake V71 8-bay case with a new small SanDisk that doesn't stick out three inches. How can I migrate the OS from the one USB drive to the new? I'm assuming that I powered down the old system and physically move all the HDDs from the HP to Ryzen and then insert the new USB and then reboot? Am I missing a step?

I'm a newbie to unRaid, but I thought there was a "mover" function that did just this. I too wanted to make use of SSD, 7200RPM HDD and 5400 RPM HDDs.

Ok that is odd. I had to reboot the unRaid server, because it said all the drives were unknown, then I stopped the array and NOW I see that I can format the drives in one bulk go. I'll keep ya posted.

Ok I too hate to revive old threads, BUT just to be clear. I am using unRAID v6.12.6 and I stop the array and in the "<Main>" menu I see the Array Devices. I click on "Disk 1" and that opens up to the first tab under /Main/Settings/Device?name=disk1 but I do not see any means to format a disk nor to set the file system type there. Partition type just says "Unknown" - and from what I see on the "<Main>" page I do not see any text that states format. I must be missing something really basic.
