  1. well darn!!!! Thanks guys I appreciate the help. Too bad this PC is a Ryzen 7 1st gen so I will have to look into better cards. For now I will have to watch the proc % spike during playback on that tv lol. Thank you! I'll mark resolved
  2. the 1080p just does direct play lol. dang.
  3. I do. I was trying what was said to be an h.265 however. Google and some plex forums said the 970 should be fine? I can try the 264 and see what happens
  4. Hello! I am beating myself up over this. I have looked through the forums and googled a ton but I cannot get plex to use my NVidia GTX 970 to transcode. I am using linuxervers docker I have --device=/dev/dvb/ --runtime=nvidia in extra parameters ( I have a tv tuner plugged in too) I have NVIDIA_DRIVER_CAPABILITIES set to all I have NVIDIA_VISIBLE_DEVICES set to GPU-etc etc I also have it set to use hardware in plex settings as well ( i have a lifetime pass) I have the nvidia drivers plug in installed and using latest branch, (shows my video card in info) I also disabled and re-enabled dockers as well. I try and play a 4k video on an nvidia shield v1 as a test and it just uses my cpu as the transcoder. Am I missing something??? Thank you!
