  1. Thanks for the responses, it makes sense why there are so many conflicting discussions out there. I guess for now it makes sense to look at alternative options.
  2. I'm trying to set up a silent server - now that I have the hardware together and I'm getting software installed I'm starting to run into tons of threads about SSDs being incompatible with Unraid, except all of the data is from years ago or people are giving half-answers and quoting things that seem to be out of date. I'm having a hard time understanding what's actually real. I'm using Unraid Version 6.12.4 What I'm trying to accomplish is: 2x SSDs for storage (expandable in the future) 1x SSD for parity 1x NVME for VMs and containers The main selling point for me was the ability to add drives to my system, although data integrity is also important to me. I'm putting the three SSDs into the Array, and the NVME drive is assigned as the Cache - I thought this was correct structurally, but people are saying SSDs should be in the Cache Pool and the Array needs to have at least one drive in it so this might all be backwards. There's a lot of noise out there about SSD `trim` commands and ZFS subsystems both breaking drive parity. It's hard to get a straight answer on this one, but I want to make sure my parity drive isn't constantly wrong (without me knowing it). Any advice or more authoritative documentation would be extremely welcome. Thanks.
