After experimenting for some time with an Intel Nuc and many external SSDs, I can confirm that unRAID is not meant to work with a bunch of USB SSDs
The new hardware is in the mail and now I can start planning the move from the old to the new server.
I want to keep the configuration effort for the apps as low as possible. I want to save myself the trouble of mounting directories and configuring the ARR apps and downloaders. In the meantime, everything is running as it should and in the best case scenario I can transfer everything to the new system.
My plan: I would of course prepare the new server and assign the new disks to parity, array and cache. Then I would transfer the files (movies, photos, etc.) (probably old school USB HDD transfer).
My question is: Can I then simply use Appdata Backup and put the Docker or apps into operation safely and then with all the configurations on the old server? Or is there a better and / or easier way?
Sorry if the question has already been answered several times But I'm fairly new to unRAID and still a little unsure about some of the threads
