  1. In the meantime I upgraded one of my systems to a Topton n5105 NAS board with 16GB of RAM and parity check increased dramatically to 150 MB/s. Have to do some more testing, but so far happy with the results. Paid 133.-- USD for the boar and another 28.-- USD for the RAM.
  2. I'm still using a Supermicro X7SPA-H with an Intel Atom D510 and 4gb of Ram, I am only using it as NAS to stream data, not using any addons, such as dockers, plex or anything. I am in the process of upgrading from 4TB to 8TB drives and I want to add an SSD cache drive as well. While moving with unbalanced files from one drive to the other in order make space to change to XFS (still on reiserfs) I noticed the slow transfer speeds starting at 20 MB/s but then dropping to 10 MB/s. I am aware during the copy process the parity is updated as well. The last paritiy check was averaging 50 MB/s. I was wondering what performance improvement I could get if I would switch to more modern platform newer cpu, ram, etc.? Will changing to XFS already give me an improvement?
  3. In the meantime I replaced the drive with another drive and the data-rebuild went through without issues. I assume an issue with the drive will test it seperatly.
  4. @itimpi indeed, I uploaded the wrong file. I corrected it in my first post.
  5. I have an array with 4 drive 1 Parity with 8TB and 3 data drives with 4TB. I stopped the array, shut down the server, replaced the 1 of the data drives with a 8TB drive. I started the array, which started the rebuild process, checking 24 hours later it was only at 33% the speed was under 100KB/sec. I tried different thing, pausing and starting the rebuild process. When Cancelling it and rebooting the system to start again it already starts in with under 100KB/s and the speed is not picking up. attache the the Diagnostic file. What could be the issue? tower_ii-diagnostics-20240227-0722.zip
