New install doesn't show disks, but they are visible using fdisk at command line
I fixed my problems with the web UI and wanted to share the solution here. I found the answer in the attached forum post. For my particular firewall (Sophos UTM 9.7) the setting needed was in Web Protection->Filtering Options->Misc->Transparent Mode Skiplist. I added the Unraid object to the "Skip Transparent Mode Destination Host" box and the web UI is working correctly now. For other firewalls look for how to exempt Unraid from proxy filtering that may block Websockets on local networks.

New install doesn't show disks, but they are visible using fdisk at command line
Thank you both for your help. You have led me to a partial solution. I plugged a laptop into the same network segment as the new Unraid server to investigate DHCP. It got an address right away and, more interestingly, was able to see the drives in the web UI. I created and started an array. The attached screenshot is from my primary workstation, which is on a different VLAN from the Unraid server. The mystery of the missing drives is solved, but now I need to investigate why the web UI is only partially functional. For any future troubleshooters that may come across this post, if your workstation is on a different VLAN than your Unraid server you may not see portions of the web UI.

New install doesn't show disks, but they are visible using fdisk at command line
I am new to Unraid (my first install), but familiar with Linux in general. This is a fresh 6.12.8 install on a Dell R420 with an H710 embedded controller flashed to IT mode (shows as LSI SAS2308 in system devices) and four Toshiba 2TB drives. Once I switched the boot mode from UEFI to BIOS it booted as expected, but no drives show in the main tab to make an array. The controller and drives do show up in Tools->System Devices, fdisk from the command line, and a separate Linux live environment. The diagnostic zip as described in "need-help-read-me-first" is attached. Any help or advice anyone can provide is greatly appreciated. tower-diagnostics-20240308-1301.zip
