  1. After a reboot of the linux host, when I attempt to connect to smb://unraid.ip/sharename, it can now login with my read/write user. Thanks for your help
  2. ya, I tried connecting to the IP of the unraid server instead of using the hostname, but I get the same error. Interestingly enough, if I attempt to connect to smb://unraid.ip/sharename I can browse to the location anonymously, but it won't accept my credentials for my read/write user
  3. that helped with windows, thank you for that. With linux however, I still see the same error: "unable to mount location. Failed to retrieve share list from server: invalid argument". Any thoughts there?
  4. Hello, I've just setup my first unraid server, I've got my drives all formatted and my array created. I added a share, set it to secure, created a user and gave it read/write permissions. When I attempt to connect to the machine in windows 11, I can, however tower does not populate any available folders. When I attempt to connect in linux mint, I get an error that says "unable to mount location. Failed to retrieve share list from server: invalid argument". When I console into unraid, I cat /etc/samba/smb-shares.conf, and the file is empty. I could use some help in proceeding from here please. Thanks
