Solutions

    Not that there's anything going on in this thread, but I may have solved it.  I had set the resolution to be 2560X1440 and the font size was set to 150% as I'm on a HiDPI display and wanted to benefit from the higher PPI. Turns out, setting it to a font size of 100% has eliminated the freezing/crashing. I'm still testing and turning features back on, but this seems to be the culprit, so far.
