Brand new server rebooting during parity or SMART tests
Ran memtest on first RAM stick by itself, it ran for about 15 minutes and the PC rebooted at 46% completion of the first pass, no errors shown, temp at 79C. Swapped RAM and ran with just the second stick, it completed the first pass with no errors and is running the second pass now. Temps reached 84C and no reboot.

Brand new server rebooting during parity or SMART tests
I set memtest to run this morning with RAM set to bios default settings. The first pass was fine, no errors and CPU temp hovering around 60C. However, I just checked on it approx. 11 hours into the test and the system has crashed and rebooted at some point. I booted back into memtest and started it again, and immediately the CPU temp spiked to 80C and the system rebooted again within 2 minutes of starting. Would this point to a thermal issue? I wouldn’t think the system should force a thermal shutdown until well over 80 degrees.

Brand new server rebooting during parity or SMART tests
It actually reboots by itself, I haven’t had to power cycle at all. It does seem to only happen when the system is performing an array operation (SMART test or parity rebuild), and it’s happened both while the array is stopped and running. If left with the array stopped and no disk operations, there aren’t any reboots. I had the RAM running at 3200 mhz but even after lowering it to 2400 mhz (BIOS default) the behavior was the same. I don’t believe it to be a cooling issue, the highest CPU temp I’ve seen is 65 C and drives haven’t gone over 40, even during preclear. Is there a way to check the motherboard or CPU without changing them?

Brand new server rebooting during parity or SMART tests
Hi everyone, I just finished building my first unraid server last week and am working on the initial setup. The build has: Intel i3-12100 AsRock Z690M-ITX/AX Teamgroup 32GB DDR4-3200 (2x16) 2x 256GB NVME cache drives (mirrored pool) 2x Seagate Exos 3.5” 4tb drives I’ve precleared the hard drives and run memtest a couple of times (it passed), but I’m having some stability issues. Every hour or two, the system will crash and reboot. I’ve noticed it when running the extended SMART test, when building the parity drive, and even when the array is stopped. All BIOS settings are set to the defaults: Virtualization enabled CPU and Package C-states set to auto RAM speed set to MB default (2400 mhz) There are no docker or VMs running or installed. The only plugins installed are: fix common problems system temp appdata backup What could be causing this?
