Hello, I’m new here and probably not understanding the whole process so please forgive my ignorance. Here’s my scenario, I have media from an old windows Plex setup on a hard drive that I want to transfer to a new larger hard drive under a new unraid Plex setup on a dell server. Do I have to use a separate computer to transfer the data to the larger drive then plug the new drive into the server to add it to Plex or can I plug both the old and new drive into the server and transfer the content under unraid? I’m also in the middle of backing up my old dvds to add to plex and was wondering if there was a way to run dvd backing up software on the same computer running unraid so I can easily transfer it to the new larger hard drive. Or do I need to use a separate computer for that as well? I’m aware that I might need to rebuild the Plex library from scratch which I’m ok with, I just don’t want to accidentally format the hard drive with my old media on it so I’m trying to be cautious. Sorry if my questions are not clear. Feel free to ask for clarification if needed.
