Hello! First time poster here
Went through as many form post on the matter and I just wanted to reach out for any further ideas on the matter
Ive been using a Jonsbo N1 Mini ITX Desktop Case to host my server and a month ago one of the drives (one of my non parity drives) was showing a slow uptick in CRC error count (currently at 6).
Forms said it's likely a bad sata cable so I plan on ordering one to test that but the drives insert into a sata and power daughter board with sata cables on the back for this computer case so I worried a slot could be at fault. I only have 4 hard drives so I moved the trouble drive to a new port along with its appropriate sata cable. On boot, Unraid sees all the drives, goes to start up and after about 30 mins it suddenly stops. Tried multiple times, without parity check or dockers running and I even noticed it was running sluggishly to load other menus. I swapped everything back and it has been up for a whole day. On the switch back I noticed that the original Sata cable port has some wiggle to it so it's not the cord it's CERTAINLY that causing the CRC errors
My main question is why switching ports would result in sudden shutdowns and any advise on how to troubleshoot it. Some other results said changing ports for a hard drive that is in RAID configuration can result in issues while other unraid posts from reddit said unraid should be able to find and order the drives correctly
