Yes, the driver doesn't exist in the kernel used in 4.7
-
I now no longer can detect the device from the BIOS or in Windows.
Any thoughts onto this?

Try an Intel based MB....

works fine with my Corsair 750 !

I'm using the very same board with great success. Specifically, I'm running with an E3-1230 Xeon and 16gb of ECC ddr3-1333 ram. I'm running unRaid 5.0b9 on top of ESXi 4.1u1, but if I select the unRaid usb-stick as boot device it will boot right into unRaid with nary a twitch! I have two additional plug-in controllers, one to add two more disks to fill-out my front panel of 16 drives (2TB Samsungs), the other is a raid controller for the ESXi DataStor. The on-board "Intel" controller, the on-board LSI controller and the 2-drive fill-out controller get passed through by ESXi to unRaid which makes the configuration agnostic as to whether it boots ESXi or unRaid. Great for peace of mind. I have several other VM's running (Linux and Windows) which take care of all my daemon type apps such as torrents, newsgroups, media serving, etc. Highly recommended.

Try changing the "chip" that the vm emulates for it's network interface... IIRC, it defaults to some SMC chip, change it to the Intel and try again...

yeah, in anything past the trial, you need a reg key and it MUST be on the USB key labled UNRAID so that it can match the key file to the ID of the usb drive.
-
so you must be running the trial with 3 drives, right?
-
Thanks.... that clears up some "mysteries" for me

Is the current directory not on the search path in Linux?

But always at 88%??
Don't remember the details, but I have seen the 88% hang on Seagate 1tb as well....

I have 10 1tb data drives in my system. Disk10 is for "files"... all of my digital photos, all of my downloaded non-media files and torrents, backups of the 6 other machines on my network, etc... Disks 7-9 contain Video media... .mkv's of my 1000+ dvd's, HDTV recordings of special interest, and other video media downloads... Disks 1-6 contain my huge .wma lossless music collection. Doesn't quite fit the poll's niches...

In my experience, replacement drives have been refurbished and I have not had such good luck with them. Has your experience differed?
Well, I've only had to request a second RMA due to a recon drive once, and it was DOA!

It sure might be a candidate for return, but they might not take it if their utility does not indicate it is over their failure "threshold"
I've returned several drives to Seagate with the advance replacement option and never had a return questioned, some in this same category, where Seatools passed the drive.

Then unRaid wouldn't see it as a cleared disk...
-
wow !!! that on top of almost +900 for the stock market

Don't know if it's helpful or not, but I found that the only way I could get my key to appear high enough on the hard drive boot selection list when loaded with harddrives on my AB9 was to use a specific USB socket, presumably the "number 1" slot ?
OSX VM ?
