Hello good morning.
Thank everyone for their time in advance.
I have a serious problem, for months I have been using Virtual Machines in Unraid, on the cache disk (NVME) and every few days, I copied the entire backup from the Cache disk to one of the array disks protected by parity. (Thinking this was backing up my virtual machines).
However, today I had the brilliant idea to RENAME one of my virtual machines, from the Unraid VM panel, and assign it 2 more cores and 2 more GB of ram.
Once this is done, I start it again and it stays in the Linux console as if there were no disk inserted. Then I go to the configuration, and I see that there is no disk in the VM, which I go to manually, I select it from its domains folder on the cache disk, I click boot and Windows throws an error, blue screen.
I have the backup of this VM (bah, of the entire cache disk) from a few days ago in my array, but when I copy the backup and try to start it, it generates the same problem, and it is impossible for the backup to be corrupt, now that the problem did not exist when I did it.
What could be happening?
