Greetings Unraid community. TLDR: I've been using a Samsung Bar Plus that has failed. I've tried accessing it on 3 different systems. I'm uninterested in trying to rescue it a this point and since my luck with cheap drives is awful. I'm just going to get a higher end one. I don't know which to get. Please advise on the following information or skip all the wordy stuff and suggest a known working one. I do not mind if it is an Internal DOM or Type A form factor. Unfortunately I'm getting conflicting information or just information I don't understand. Searching these forums for "Swissbit" for example. As I understand it, SLC for endurance is recommended? Does it really matter? All the above drives are USB 3(or 3.1). I thought 2.0 was recommended, Does this really matter? 3 Drives are classified as "USB Flash Drives" in the product category. 1 Drive is classified as "Managed NAND". I know of NAND as a technology but that's about it. What is this and does it matter? I found a post on these forums with a user who contacted swissbit asking if each device has its own unique GUID. Their reply was that they do not. At this point I'm at a loss as to which to choose. It is clear that a bunch of users have had success with Swissbit drives. Unfortunately I do not possess the knowledge to make an informed choice. Please advise.
