  1. Been using UnRaid for a few years, and love it. Was running an older Core i5-based system, and just upgraded to a bit more recent AMD system. The new motherboard is from MSI: MSI PRO B550M-VC WiFi. The processor is the Ryzen 7 5700. 32GB of DDR4 3200 ram from Corsair. Everything works fine after the switch over. I just use this for video backup and local file share, and run a few linux VMs for various things. I did have to fiddle a bit with the boot settings in bios to get it to boot of the UnRaid USB thumb drive, but once I got it to boot, everything in UnRaid just works with the only exception being I had to re-run the config for the temp sensors and my UPS. But here's the only thing that is not working: My keyboard. It's a cheap USB wired keyboard which works fine in bios (no matter which USB port it's plugged into) but as soon as UnRaid boots, it is no longer responsive / I cannot login to the shell within UnRaid. In fact, on the UnRaid Boot menu with the options like MemTest etc, if I just barely tap the up or down arrows, it shoots all the way to the top or bottom of the list.... and once UnRaid boots, I can't use the keyboard at all. To be clear, I'm not talking about VM passthough. I'm talking about staring at the UnRaid login terminal screen after the server boots up, and nothing happens at all when I try to type in my login name. I can access the web UI just fine at the server's IP address. I have not tried any other usb keyboards (don't have any others to try). Here are some possibly relevant errors from my system log: Feb 17 22:31:09 TenForward kernel: usb 1-3: new full-speed USB device number 10 using xhci_hcd Feb 17 22:31:15 TenForward kernel: usb 1-3: unable to read config index 0 descriptor/start: -71 Feb 17 22:31:15 TenForward kernel: usb 1-3: can't read configurations, error -71 Feb 17 22:31:15 TenForward kernel: usb 1-3: new full-speed USB device number 11 using xhci_hcd Feb 17 22:31:21 TenForward kernel: usb 1-3: unable to read config index 0 descriptor/start: -71 Feb 17 22:31:21 TenForward kernel: usb 1-3: can't read configurations, error -71 Feb 17 22:31:21 TenForward kernel: usb usb1-port3: attempt power cycle Feb 17 22:31:21 TenForward kernel: usb 1-3: new full-speed USB device number 12 using xhci_hcd Feb 17 22:31:26 TenForward kernel: usb 1-3: unable to read config index 0 descriptor/start: -71 Feb 17 22:31:26 TenForward kernel: usb 1-3: can't read configurations, error -71 Feb 17 22:31:27 TenForward kernel: usb 1-3: new full-speed USB device number 13 using xhci_hcd Feb 17 22:31:32 TenForward kernel: usb 1-3: unable to read config index 0 descriptor/start: -71 Feb 17 22:31:32 TenForward kernel: usb 1-3: can't read configurations, error -71 Feb 17 22:31:32 TenForward kernel: usb usb1-port3: unable to enumerate USB device Is there some setting I need to be looking for in bios? Is there some kernel module I need to load? Is there some other system setting to adjust in UnRaid?
