  1. So my folder setup goes like this movies > actual movie.mkv tv shows > the show > season > episode1.mkv and I have these on the same share. I set my split level to 3 and got ride of the season folder for this problem and it fixed it. So its a split level problem. Is there a way I can split this share up into two shares? So movies would be on one share w/ a split level of 2 and tv shows would be on another w/ a split level of 4 so i can include the season folder?
  2. So what would be the fix? setting my split level to 3? Or getting rid of the season folders because I have movies on the same share?
  3. Trying to write a 1.85gb file to my share and it keeps writing to disk6 in the share with only 1.82 available, then i get the not enough free space error. I have high water set and min space available set to 20gb. See sys log and photo of share setup. System_Log.txt

  5. Also wondering if it it worth it to go with a 6g sata hard drive setup.
  6. Sry for the extended delay. I believe the motherboard is a asus p593-vm
  7. I was wondering the best way to upgrade a Md-1500. Not to sure how to find the bottleneck on the system, eg the memory, proc, ... Or if it is worth it just to gut the mobo proc and mem. and start from scratch. Thx guys !
  8. A little off topic but do you keep the entire disk or just the movie? If just the movie what process do you use? Thanks Erik An easy way to get "just the movie" is to back up the Disc. Then go to the "movie name" => BDMV => Stream folder Once there, look for the largest .m2ts folder its generally the movie. Then use media player classic to check if it is the movie stream. http://www.free-codecs.com/download_soft.php?d=4251&s=134 Also, I think you will need MatroskaSplitter installed, but you don't use it for anything. http://haali.cs.msu.ru/mkv/MatroskaSplitter.exe
  9. hopefully the following of the PCH gets as big as the modded xbox scene.
  10. The HDMI chip on the PS3 cannot send bitstream of TrueHD and DTS-HD/MA. The PCH can pass through : DTS, AC3, DTS-HD MA, DTS-HD HR, Dolby True HD, Dolby Digital Plus. Only matters if you get a receiver that can also process those streams, but if you have a nice system in place it makes a big difference in sound. Also PCH handle pretty much any type of video u can put on a hard drive. Only gripe I have with this player is the nic card on it. 10/100 I guess if streams a HD file ok then it doesn't matter.
  11. I believe he meant to type "complement" Regards, Peter Lol, yes this is what I meant
  12. I started backing up my Blue ray discs to see how they would stream over the network, while googleing around I came across this: http://www.popcornhour.com/onlinestore/index.php?pluginoption=catalog&task=info&item_id=6&main_id=0&category_id= Anyways its a network media player that handles, what seems like anything u throw at it. I ordered mine and it's on the way. I report back with the end user experience of streaming an HD m2ts from a MD-1500 to a A-110 (Currently using a ZIOVA Clearstream™ CS615 w/ less than stellar results, better yet terrible results)
  13. Hi there, Don't know if this helps @ all but with my config : MD-1500 Linksys SLM2008 All Molded Cat6 Mac Pro w/ 10 GB of Ram Dual Booting Leopard and XP sp3 When I stream m2ts files from my server, I sometimes also get very short chops or skips in the video. As I'm writing this post, I thought of a way to check playback to rule out the computer eg videocard, going to copy the file locally and just play it back to see if the streaming had anything to do with it.
