  1. You control the fans using arduino board. I used this one https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01EWOE0UU/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_z5LpFb211A6C3 I have left the fans to default as Tmxpro has been testing for some time and he thinks he's got the right setting. The only way to modify the speeds on the arduino board is to connect it to a computer.
  2. Hi AndyToots Yeah i had a problem with my fans spinning. The noise was like a Boeing 747. I ended up modding my fans with Tmxpro mod. See the link below for more information. Now its great. I have been running it for 30+days without any problems. Cpu around 45c hard drives have been cool. https://tmxpro.fi/
  3. Hi sota. Yeah I checked the ilos. I updated the ilos and the bios. I figured out that the H220 was sending my fans to ramp up to 100%. Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk
  4. I have been using a mod from unix_like he has managed to modify the pwm signal. I have been running my server for over a week and have had no problems. My server now doesn't sound like a Boeing 747. The mod just basically cuts off the PWM signal from server so you feed in your own pwm with a standard arduino. He made software that takes temps from iLO and calculates its own fan speeds and sends it to the arduino. So basically the mod hooks up to an arduino that can be plugged into the servers internal usb (atleast on g8, idk if other gens have internal usb ports) My Spec is Cpu e5 2420 12gb of ram H220 raid card 12 hard drives difference sizes (25tb in total) Got 6 dockers running and a win 7 vm. (Couldn't find a win 10 key) Win 7 vm has got 4 cores and 4gb of ram and cpu is round 40c. The mod i have installed is version 1 he has managed to make a version 2 of the mod which is alot easier to install. More information of the mod can be found below. 5. I have took the h240 out. rebooted into the bios and disabled the onboard raid controller. Shut down and put the h240 back in. Rebooted into unraid and I can only see one drive. But the drive is made up of 4 600GB drives 2.4TB. see picture. Think I am getting half way
  6. Hi How did u get on with the h220 card? I have got a hp Proliant Dl380E g8 and a h240 which I can not get working. Did you have to do anything to get up and running? Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk
  7. Hi I got the h240 I have put it in my hp Proliant Dl380E but it wont work. I can see the h240 in the bios but it doesn't show up in the array configuration screen. The drives dont show in unraid. Hope someone can help Zac
  8. Might be a silly question but what is the difference between h220 and h240? You mean something like this https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F401968097817 Zac
  9. Hi I have a HP Proliant Dl380E g8 it has on its back plane of 12 3.5" hard drive bays plus 2 extra sata ports on the back. They are labelled port 13 and port 14. I am after a raid controller and expander that will work. I dont know much about raid controllers. Just what I have been reading. I think I am looking at a hp h220 lsi SAS card. https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F142124365600 Hope someone can help so I can get my new server running Zac
