  3. i have three i am not using not as well if anyone is interested
  4. I just tried this beta out (coming from 4.3.3) and i was unable to boot. I replaced the two files again from previous version and booted fine. From the syslog of the 4.3.3 boot, it looks like it hung at these lines on 4.4.-b1 Sep 28 16:56:39 Tower kernel: sd 8:0:0:0: [sdi] Write cache: enabled, read cache: enabled, doesn't support DPO or FUA Sep 28 16:56:39 Tower kernel: sdi: sdi1 Sep 28 16:56:39 Tower kernel: sd 8:0:0:0: [sdi] Attached SCSI disk Sep 28 16:56:39 Tower kernel: r8169 Gigabit Ethernet driver 2.2LK-NAPI loaded Sep 28 16:56:39 Tower kernel: ACPI: PCI Interrupt 0000:02:05.0[A] -> GSI 22 (level, low) -> IRQ 21 Sep 28 16:56:39 Tower kernel: eth0: RTL8169sc/8110sc at 0xf883a000, 00:1b:b9:f4:8e:f5, XID 18000000 IRQ 21 Hardware: Main board: ECS AMD690GM-M2 AM2 AMD 690G Micro ATX AMD Motherboard flash: SanDisk Cruzer Micro U3 1GB Flash Drive (USB2.0 Portable) Model SDCZ6-1024-A10 cpu: AMD Athlon 64 X2 5200+ Brisbane 2.7GHz Socket AM2 65W Dual-Core Processor Model ADO5200DOBOX memory: OCZ Platinum Revision 2 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit drives: parity device: pci-0000:00:12.0-scsi-1:0:0:0 (sdb) ata-SAMSUNG_HD103UJ_S13PJ1MQ313654 disk1 device: pci-0000:02:00.0-scsi-3:0:0:0 (sdi) ata-SAMSUNG_HD502IJ_S13TJDWQ421406 disk2 device: pci-0000:00:12.0-scsi-2:0:0:0 (sdc) ata-SAMSUNG_HD501LJ_S0MUJDWQ241470 disk3 device: pci-0000:00:14.1-ide-0:1 (hdb) ata-MAXTOR_STM3500630A_9QG3M94Q disk4 device: pci-0000:02:00.0-scsi-2:0:0:0 (sdh) ata-SAMSUNG_HD502IJ_S13TJDWQ421405 disk5 device: pci-0000:02:00.0-scsi-0:0:0:0 (sdf) ata-Maxtor_7L300S0_L603Q5PG disk6 device: pci-0000:02:00.0-scsi-1:0:0:0 (sdg) ata-Maxtor_7L300S0_L603RCAG disk7 device: pci-0000:00:14.1-ide-0:0 (hda) ata-MAXTOR_STM3500630A_9QG05CP4 disk8 device: pci-0000:00:12.0-scsi-0:0:0:0 (sda) ata-ST3500630AS_6QG3BL5H disk9 device: pci-0000:00:12.0-scsi-3:0:0:0 (sdd) ata-ST3250410AS_6RY0Y4C9
  5. Hello everyone - Just a little shameless self promotion if that's allowed here...Looking for a new job either permanent or contract around Boulder/Denver area (or telecommuting). I'm a system administrator on unix and linux systems primarily but can do web development in Perl/PHP as well. Drop me a note if you are tired of dealing with your storage yourself!
  6. looks good so far BUT i dont see the overall "Recent changes" link anymore. I liked bringing this up periodically to see what updates have been made. Any chance we can get this back?
  7. yup went ahead and put one of them in my case. seems great. i'm having trouble swapping the fan out with one i have that has a controller knob for. can't figure out how to mount them as the plastic connectors that came with the stackers dont fit and the screws that came with the fans give too much room. Might need to pick up some sort of spacers or extra nuts at the store
  8. you can play in powerdvd by mount the iso with a tool like daemontools
  9. I ordered two of the older 4-in--3 modules made by Coolermaster and they sent me the new ones. The packing list even says the model number is different than on the box. Does anyone know the pros and cons of each? My initial though is i almost want to complain and return them because i wanted to use the external brackets i have existing on my case, but is there anything else that out weighs it? Is the material that much better in this one? New one is STB-3T4-E3-GP, old is STB-3T4-E1-GP
  10. There are a bunch of new reviews out on some hardware sites of this case these days (sorry no links handy, use google). Just ordered one myself.
  11. I'm new around here, sorry if selling on this forum is not allowed. I have had this card just sitting around for way too long, thought someone here could use it. It's PCI-X, not PCI-Express. Description http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16816116020&Tpk=3ware%2b7506-8 Retails for ~439.99, make me an offer
  12. I have an old tower I am going to build my first unraid system in, but the 5 1/2" bay's have little "shelves" bent inwards that you can use to slide optical drives into. If i understand it right, these would be in the way of all the HDD stackers out there? Has anyone tried to bend them back to get it out of the way so the sides are flush? I'll try to get a photo of them if that description is unclear.
  13. 3ware 7506-8 PCI 2.2 IDE RAID Controller RAID 0/1/5/10 - 8 x ATA 133 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16816116020&Tpk=7506-8 Does anyone know if this card is supported?
