  1. Hi all, I'm using Unraid 4.7. My server will crash when ever it's running it's parity check and if my windows machine running utorrent writes to the cache drive. Attached is the tail -f /var/log/syslog and the screenshot of the crash. Would be great if anyone of you can let me know what's the cause of the crash. Thanks! syslog.txt
  2. Hi, I'm currently running Unraid 4.7 on an ASUS P7H55-M/USB3 with 2 SATA3 6GB/s onboard that is running on Marvell 88SE9123 chipset. I'm trying to get unraid to run at SATA 6GB/s with the Western Digital Blue 1TB (WD10EALX). Unraid detects the hard disk fine and put it to SATA 6GB/s mode. But when I tries to copy some huge sized files eg. 40gb or when I try to run the preclear_disk.sh script, I get the following errors on my syslog. Mar 26 01:38:04 Exia kernel: ata7.00: exception Emask 0x10 SAct 0x0 SErr 0x300000 action 0x6 frozen (Errors) Mar 26 01:38:04 Exia kernel: ata7.00: irq_stat 0x08000000, interface fatal error (Errors) Mar 26 01:38:04 Exia kernel: ata7: SError: { Dispar BadCRC } (Errors) Mar 26 01:38:04 Exia kernel: ata7.00: failed command: READ DMA EXT (Minor Issues) Mar 26 01:38:04 Exia kernel: ata7.00: cmd 25/00:18:3f:61:7a/00:00:23:00:00/e0 tag 0 dma 12288 in (Drive related) Mar 26 01:38:04 Exia kernel: res 50/00:00:86:62:7a/00:00:23:00:00/e0 Emask 0x10 (ATA bus error) (Errors) Mar 26 01:38:04 Exia kernel: ata7.00: status: { DRDY } (Drive related) Mar 26 01:38:04 Exia kernel: ata7: hard resetting link (Minor Issues) Mar 26 01:38:04 Exia kernel: ata7: SATA link up 6.0 Gbps (SStatus 133 SControl 370) (Drive related) Mar 26 01:38:04 Exia kernel: ata7.00: configured for UDMA/133 (Drive related) Mar 26 01:38:04 Exia kernel: ata7: EH complete (Drive related) Mar 26 01:38:04 Exia kernel: ata7.00: exception Emask 0x10 SAct 0x0 SErr 0x100000 action 0x6 frozen (Errors) Mar 26 01:38:04 Exia kernel: ata7.00: irq_stat 0x08000000, interface fatal error (Errors) Mar 26 01:38:04 Exia kernel: ata7: SError: { Dispar } (Errors) Mar 26 01:38:04 Exia kernel: ata7.00: failed command: READ DMA EXT (Minor Issues) Mar 26 01:38:04 Exia kernel: ata7.00: cmd 25/00:18:07:fe:6f/00:00:23:00:00/e0 tag 0 dma 12288 in (Drive related) Mar 26 01:38:04 Exia kernel: res 50/00:00:ce:9b:71/00:00:23:00:00/e0 Emask 0x10 (ATA bus error) (Errors) Mar 26 01:38:04 Exia kernel: ata7.00: status: { DRDY } (Drive related) Mar 26 01:38:04 Exia kernel: ata7: hard resetting link (Minor Issues) Mar 26 01:38:05 Exia kernel: ata7: SATA link up 6.0 Gbps (SStatus 133 SControl 370) (Drive related) Mar 26 01:38:05 Exia kernel: ata7.00: configured for UDMA/133 (Drive related) Mar 26 01:38:05 Exia kernel: ata7: EH complete (Drive related) Mar 26 01:38:27 Exia kernel: ata7.00: exception Emask 0x10 SAct 0x0 SErr 0x100000 action 0x6 frozen (Errors) Mar 26 01:38:27 Exia kernel: ata7.00: irq_stat 0x08000000, interface fatal error (Errors) Mar 26 01:38:27 Exia kernel: ata7: SError: { Dispar } (Errors) Mar 26 01:38:27 Exia kernel: ata7.00: failed command: READ DMA EXT (Minor Issues) Mar 26 01:38:27 Exia kernel: ata7.00: cmd 25/00:20:4f:b6:77/00:00:23:00:00/e0 tag 0 dma 16384 in (Drive related) Mar 26 01:38:27 Exia kernel: res 50/00:00:f6:8c:6d/00:00:23:00:00/e0 Emask 0x10 (ATA bus error) (Errors) Mar 26 01:38:27 Exia kernel: ata7.00: status: { DRDY } (Drive related) Mar 26 01:38:27 Exia kernel: ata7: hard resetting link (Minor Issues) Mar 26 01:38:28 Exia kernel: ata7: SATA link up 6.0 Gbps (SStatus 133 SControl 370) (Drive related) Mar 26 01:38:28 Exia kernel: ata7.00: configured for UDMA/133 (Drive related) Mar 26 01:38:28 Exia kernel: ata7: EH complete (Drive related) Mar 26 01:42:21 Exia kernel: ata7: limiting SATA link speed to 3.0 Gbps (Drive related) Mar 26 01:42:21 Exia kernel: ata7.00: exception Emask 0x10 SAct 0x0 SErr 0x180000 action 0x6 frozen (Errors) Mar 26 01:42:21 Exia kernel: ata7.00: irq_stat 0x08000000, interface fatal error (Errors) Mar 26 01:42:21 Exia kernel: ata7: SError: { 10B8B Dispar } (Errors) Mar 26 01:42:21 Exia kernel: ata7.00: failed command: READ DMA EXT (Minor Issues) Mar 26 01:42:21 Exia kernel: ata7.00: cmd 25/00:a0:4f:ea:79/00:00:23:00:00/e0 tag 0 dma 81920 in (Drive related) Mar 26 01:42:21 Exia kernel: res 50/00:00:26:8e:77/00:00:23:00:00/e0 Emask 0x10 (ATA bus error) (Errors) Mar 26 01:42:21 Exia kernel: ata7.00: status: { DRDY } (Drive related) Mar 26 01:42:21 Exia kernel: ata7: hard resetting link (Minor Issues) Mar 26 01:42:22 Exia kernel: ata7: SATA link up 3.0 Gbps (SStatus 123 SControl 320) (Drive related) Mar 26 01:42:22 Exia kernel: ata7.00: configured for UDMA/133 (Drive related) Mar 26 01:42:22 Exia kernel: ata7: EH complete (Drive related) At one point my unraid server crashed with a panic error. I've now force jumpered the HDD to SATA 3GB/s and everything seems working fine. Currently running the preclear_disk.sh for 20 mins without any syslog error. Previously the error would occur once I invoke the script. Would like to know if this is a know issue with the Marvell sata controller and if anyone is having this problem? Thanks!
  3. atd is probably the "at" daemon. You've probably run out of memory... How much RAM do you have? Joe L. ... I have 4 gig Should be enough unless a program has a memory "leak" (which is very possible) Suggest running a memory test preferable overnight just to be sure it is not a bad RAM strip. I have airvideo running for some time at boot up. I started getting these same error messages. I had switched to from rtorrent to transmission a little while ago. Did not think about it until i started getting these messages. To resolve it for me was to disable transmission on reboot and leave airvideo starting at reboot. After the machine is up and running i just turn transmission back on. Just stopping transmission did not work, it required a reboot. Looks like for me transmission is causing the problem.. @dertbv I'm also having the same error in syslog whenever transmission is on. Thanks for the info, safe me from countless hairloss on why airvideo suddenly refuse to run. Joe is correct it's the error with the "at" daemon (running transmission kills the at daemon?). Anyway did a quick fix and removed the "at" command from the airvideo script so that I can have both airvideo and transmission on "Re-Installed upon Re-Boot". So far everything to be ok, hope I don't break airvideo by disabling the 1 minute delay.
  4. Hi, I'm from Malaysia and it seems that Sandisk distro here has stopped bringing in the Cruzer Micro
  5. Hi there, I'm new to unraid and currently planing to build an unraid server with about 8HDD. Would like to get some advice on the USB Flash device that I should use with unraid. Currently the closest that I can find matching to the official recommendations are the Sandisk Cruzer Blade 4g and Sandisk Cruzer 4g (new design). A lot of review are saying that the Blade performance is horrible and the new Cruzer (new design) is much slower than the Sandisk Cruzer Micro. I personally like the Blade as it's small and just wondering if I'm going to get any performance hit on the server? I've also bought the new Kingston Datatraveler G3 4g, and the read/write is really slow (6mb/s and 2.5mb/s) Thanks for the help in advance
