  1. Is there a GUI from unRAID side for copying files from mac to unRAID using SMB?
  2. I don't use application. I use "ls" command from unRAID server. Is there any application I should use? The only task that I want to use is to delete a file from unRAID server since I can not delete it from mac side whenever there is an error in copying. This means that any application that capable of showing unicode from unRAID would be fine with me. You stated that you copy files from your MAC to unRAID. Are you using file sharing for that (SMB, AFP or NFS) or perhaps a FTP application (I presume not). Using the supported file sharing methods of unRAID, foreign characters (=UTF- encoding is preserved. This assumes that your MAC is also supporting UTF-8 (unicode). I am using SMB now and there is no problem of unicode from mac side. Only problem is when there is an error in copying and I can not delete it from mac. Only way is to delete it from unRAID side and the unicode is not supported from unRAID side. That is the problem!
  3. Even though I upgrade my unRAID to unRAIDServer-6.0-beta7-x86_64, when I type "cat /etc/unraid-version" is version=5.0.4 Shouldn't this be 6.0.* something?

  5. I have upgrade my unRAID to unRAIDServer-6.0-beta7-x86_64 and the unicode characters are still all broken. Do I need to change locale from LANG=en_US.UTF-8 to the appropriate language? Also, is there a command to show the version number of unRAID OS?
  6. It is just files with unicode. Do you by any chance have a link how to upgrade? Thanks.
  7. Am I the only one who has this problem?
  8. Whenever I have an issue in copying a file from mac to the server, I can't delete it from mac side. This is a real pain. I have to login to the server and delete the file there. I also just noticed that a foreign file name are all broken from the server. It seems that the server is not supporting unicode characters. Anybody has a solution to fix this problem? Thanks.
  9. Finally I was able to delete user share. Thanks. It would be nice to have the share setting to do all the work for removing a user share including removing content files and folder.
  10. You mean I have to manually delete "oldMovies" for all disks (disk1, disk2, ... etc) before pressing the apply button for the cleared name field?
  11. I checked the flash and it is not corrupt. Yet the erased name reappears.
  12. From UnRAID Manual. The instruction for deleting a user share is given as: "To delete a User Share, just clear the Share name field and click Apply. Only entirely empty User Shares may be deleted." I did clear the name field and pressed the apply button. Then the erased name reappeared on the name field. And the user share name is still showing up on share setting. There is no file inside the user share. I also made sure that both smb and afp export to none when I cleared the name field. What am I missing here?
  13. The number is very conservative since the initial estimated time generated by mac is always larger than the actual time. So it would be about 30-40 MB/s.
  14. I just added Gb switch (TP-LINK TL-SG1008D). And now I am getting about 30 MB/s which is about a factor 3 improvement.
