  1. I tried to recreate the libvirt.img. I found the XMLs of my VMs. But now none of them is working. It shows "No bootable media".
  2. Hello, I tried to add a new drive in the Cache Pool for protected cache, but it did show an error putting the new drive on pool (something with bad uuid, I don't remember the error exactly), so I had to remove it again and leave back the initial SSD alone. All the files are still there, and the docker wasn't starting unless I created a new docker.img file, deleting the old one. I then reinstalled my only container mariadb and it worked fine with all the databases. But the VM Manager also won't start. I don't want to lose my VMs, I don't remember the settings of each one, I only have the vdisks. How can I fix it? If I delete the libvirt.img and recreate it, the VMs will be gone from VM manager or not? How can I recover from this disaster? Please help.
  3. Maybe you could also mention my motherboard to them: Abit AB9 Pro with latest bios id 23 (m516a23). Thanks.
  4. I attach the diagnostics file, though on the console I had an error when I pressed collect: "cp: cannot stat '/boot/config/*.conf': No such file or directory" Also I attach a screenshot. I have installed 4x2GB Samsung DDR2 memory, and it shows only 4GB installed, but it says allocated 8GB.. albatross-diagnostics-20150807-1338.zip
  5. Hello. I have a very strange problem. I can't start any VM (even linux) created from KVM with unRaid version 6.0.1 or prior (betas). It says on console "INIT: PANIC: segmentation violation! sleeping for 30 seconds." and the server freezes, I can't do anything. I have an Intel E8400 CPU and I checked the Virtualization feature on BIOS. I am able to create any HVM virtual machines on Xen (version 6 beta15), and also I can boot Windows Server 2012 R2 and add Hyper-V as a role (which it requires HVM capable cpu), and run a Windows 8 VM in it. I tried a fresh install of version 6.0.1 and does the same. I downloaded XenServer and I am able to create 3 virtual machines of Windows Server 2012 R2 and have them run simultaneously. Also I ran memtest86+ for 5 cycles with no errors. Please any ideas??
  6. The Ram is a matched pair set. I use stock speeds in BIOS. The memory is 800Mhz, and I also tried 667 and 533 Mhz.. The same results.... If I press info in unraid web gui then I see only 1024MB from 2048MB I see in top... Also when I move files, only the 1024MB is used (according to top). The rest 1024 is available... Before I change the M/B, when I was moving files, the 97-98% of 2048MB memory was used....
  7. Recently, I changed motherboard in my unraid server and I have a very strange problem.. When I put only two sticks of memory out of 4 available slots, unraid recognises only one of them if I put them in dual channel mode.. If I put them in single channel, then they're recognised correctly both of them... But if I put another two sticks of memory at the other channel, then unraid recognises only two of them (the half)... Everywhere else it's ok (in windows and bios)... Also in top command I see all the available memory. It seems it's something with the unraid os. I've reseated the sticks many times, with many different combinations... Can't figure it out.. Any help will be appreciated.
  8. I think I found the culprit! After long long troubleshooting, I realise that when unRAID boots, it resets my BIOS settings.. The default BIOS setting for wake-on-lan seems to be ON. And when it is ON, as a chain reaction (maybe due to a Linux distro bug) the system cannot shut down. What I found as an interim solution is to check a BIOS-Protect option in the BIOS settings. After that I can shutdown normally. dgaschk I appreciate your suggestion, but I have set up an extra usb key with a free license just for this reason, not having any plugins at all, and without any disk in the array. Just to test. I can't shut down either from there! But why unRAID resets BIOS settings when it boots?
  9. Hello and happy new year! Yes I have it installed. But didn't do any difference from the time I installed it..
  10. How can I do that on unRAID? (It's off from the BIOS)
  11. This setting is set to Off.. I can't figure out what's wrong.... If I boot Linux then it shuts down just right.. Only from unRAID OS the M/B has this annoying behaviour...
  12. I use a non-Server motherboard ---> (Foxconn 31MXP-K) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813186167 There isn't any such option in BIOS.. Even if I load CMOS defaults, the M/B acts as described..
