  1. Good morning!!! I'm looking to backup data from various PCs and a mac in my house to my UNRAID box on a scheduled incremental manner, and then copy changes to the Amazon Glacier once a week. Currently I'm using clients on the windows boxes to move data to an external HDD and then manually back that up to my UNRAID system. The mac is set to automatically back up time-machine to the UNRAID box. WHat tools are available for me to run on UNRAID that will allow me to backup data automatically using nightly incremental backups and then a full backup on Day X, then when that is complete move the incremental data to the amazon glacier? Many thanks!
  2. I figured it out. Stopped the disk array, and then was able to see the new disk via the gui. When I went into mnt/ I saw the shares I had created and that disk1 was divided into the various shares. This below url had me confused as I was looking for the ""Devices" assignment page", which turns out to be called "Main". Duh. Should have figured that out easily. http://lime-technology.com/wiki/index.php/Add_One_or_More_New_Data_Drives Many thanks for all your help and assistance.
  3. Ran ChkDsk and it found no issues. Reinstalled the flash drive and no change in drive status... still not seen. Syslog attached below. Should I have formatted the flash and reinstalled unraid? Many thanks. UNRAID.syslog2.txt
  4. Here's the syslog attached, as I exceeded the character limit... Thanks a ton! UnraidSyslog.txt
  5. Hello, I just added a drive from an old machine to the array but unraid v5.05 cannot see it. I can see it in the bios ok, and the syslog (below) shows it can be seen but looks like it is not mounted or made available for mounting. Suggestions would be much appreciated! Thank you. 6. Hey everyone, Long, long time lurker here. Use: My unraid server will be just used to store data for backup duties, and to allow an upstairs plex media server stream files from it - without transcoding. I do not plan on running a full-time plex server from the unraid box. Budget: As close to $200 as possible. Parts to hand: None I want to reuse. I want to buy new components to enhance system reliability. Expandability/Capacity: Maybe get to as many as 6 to 9 HDDs - I don't like throwing old drives out. I'd like to use low power HDDs where possible. No goal for a ginormus archive, just 4 to 5 to 6 TB or so, as disks get cheap. I would like the motherboard to support 4+TB drives without hassle. Energy Use: Low energy use where possible Parts in mind: Asus FM2 mobo http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131937R Seasonic 550W power supply http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817151136 2 GB ram http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231395 AMD A4-400 APU http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819113343 I had been planning on using an AMD Sempron but the AM3 mobo's are not readily available any more, and have few SATA ports on them. Intel Atom was also considered but the mobo's with the Atom embedded tend not to have many SATA ports on them at my price point. I'll probably use an antec case. Not decided yet. Maybe a refurb. All comments and suggestions appreciated. Thank you!
