  1. I am about to upgrade my old system to something more recent with a Gigabyte W480 VISION W and an Intel 10900K. I've searched the forums for this specific board and had not found much in the way of guides or information. Are there any definite options I should be toggling in the BIOS for these components (AHCI, virtualization etc)? I would appreciate it if anyone who is familiar with more recent Gigabyte/Intel builds could chime in with any must dos before I get too carried away and miss a crucial setting. Thanks!
  2. Damn, I guess I have been living in the past. That particular model used to be the recommended one (and I think used in the retail Unraid builds). I searched for LSI on the hardware compatibility page (probably out of date) and most have stipulations in the 'Links & Notes' section stating they need to be flashed to IT mode or that they also won't work with certain sized drives etc. Is there a preferred OOTB LSI card most people are running these days?
  3. Been using Unraid since the early days and always limited myself to 12 drives. Looking to make a fresh build in a Norco RPC-4224 case to expand my array to 24 drives but the Hardware Compatibility wiki seems very outdated. I currently have a single Supermicro AOC-SASLP-MV8 card and would be looking at buying a second. What easily attainable motherboards are compatible in 2019? Essentially I just want to go down to my local retailer and buy an off the shelf in production motherboard and not have to mess about on eBay searching for old hardware. I don't need an overly powerful system as the most intensive task it does is download from Usenet. tldr: What in production motherboard can I buy right now that will work with 2 x Supermicro AOC-SASLP-MV8 tldr2: Which of the motherboards in the image attached (my local Australian retailer) will work no zero issues with 2 x Supermicro AOC-SASLP-MV8 in a Norco RPC-4224 case.
  4. You are a God amongst men gundamguy! After scratching my head all day and Googling I didn't come across that fix at all. Works perfectly now!
  5. Nah, separate credentials and I have cleared them in the credential manager. Just tried with same credentials and also no joy . Thinking I may have to roll back to Windows 8.1...
  6. My only account is a Local Account / Administrator. I don't use a Microsoft account.
  7. Hi, Recently updated to Windows 10 and Unraid worked as it should for around 24 hours. I am guessing since I currently have an up to date Windows 10 somewhere along the line something has been borked with SMB. The web interface currently works perfectly, but whenever I try to access my files I am met with 'Access is denied' when using the correct credentials. My shares are a mix of Public and Private (if that makes a difference). I have tried the following fixes I have found on the forum to no avail.. What else can I try?
  8. Installing NZBGet (already have PlexConnect, Plex Media Server and SickRage installed).
  9. Air Video seems to be broken for downloading and installing at the moment. Now, I don't think it is an unMENU issue but the links to these files seem down. Anybody got a mirror of the files so I can install? 10. I218V works with the latest Beta.. I am using it now as I bought the wrong motherboard.
  11. Lack of sleep has caught up on me.. I am indeed using the newer H97M-PLUS with the Intel I218V LAN. However, it seems to work fine with the latest Beta. I have still ordered a PCI card to revert back to stable in a few weeks time (I fly out to the oil rigs in a few days time so the box will mostly be off until my return). At least their is hope for the new chipset if it is supported in the Beta. Thanks once again!
  12. Hi garycase, I ended up going with the H97M-PLUS. Everything is perfect except LAN doesn't work.. eth0: error fetching interface information: Device not found It uses the 8111G chipset which other users have experienced no issues with. What do you think my next step should be? EDIT: PCI Gigabit Intel NIC should fix this issue? Can you recommend any known working ones?
  13. Can anyone recommend a newish board that will support a AOC-SASLP-MV8 with as little grief as possible. This will be the third box I have built. Years ago my ABIT AB9 died and was replaced with an ASUS board, this board has served me well until tradesman tripped the electricity in my house which coincidentally is when my current box died. I have no issues using a GPU but if the motherboard has onboard video I would prefer DVI or HDMI (as I don't have any VGA monitors anymore). I've tried looking through the compatibility list but it doesn't really state compatibility with the AOC-SASLP-MV8 (unless you go with the Limetech used boards which have ECC and are super expensive). I have no issues buying a new CPU and RAM also, I just want simplicity to get my fileserver up and running again. Thanks in advance
