  1. This is the funny part. As I have cache disks writing speed is always 110mbs and never goes down. But when i am getting files to my computer it slows down lower than 70mbs. It was always 110MBS before. Is there anything that you can recomment? NAT - JUMBO etc. ? to make any setting from router or Unraid to have my old speed back?
  2. Hi, Really help needed. I am very sad now. I am using a cable TV internet at home. I had no issue with my home network but my cable modem has broken down and I decided to buy a new modem and a proper router for home with a good wifi. I have checked forums and see that people are happy with Asus RT-AC68U. I have bought one now but in our country model is DSL version so its called DSL-AC68U. So i couldn't install merlin Firmware . In anyway I have no problem with Internet-network or Wifi. My main problem is DL speed for Unraid. I was getting 110Mb/s DL and 110Mb/s UL with my old basic router. Now interestingly UL to unraid servis is still 110mb/s but when i get a file speed varies betweek 70 to 100 MB/S which i couldn't understand why. Is there any specific setting i can do from router setting to get the proper speed as before. Both my computer and Unraid tower connected to DSL-AC68U directly with very high quality CAT6 cable where i was getting maximum setting for years before
  3. Thanks both for answers now putting up my backup to new server. I will disturb if i have any
  4. Hi, I didn't want to open a new topic. I have some questions if you can guide me that will be nice. I am a very very basic home user. Upgrading my unraid now. Sorry if i ask something too basic for you. Just want to be sure before i completed the case. I Just bought SuperMicro X10SL7-F - few days ago. Slowly going on for Unraid6 Setup. Seems too many things to learn. - I made a mistake as i bought Pentium G3258 which support 1333mhz ram. So i can not run my ram on 1600mhz. Will that change my life alot? (Will use tower at home for simple streaming) - I have 6tb WD red as parity and additionally i have 8 2tb WD greens. I will plug parity alone to normal SATA3 plug which is white color. Is it ok or shall i connect it to LSI also? Which is best? - If i use Sata2 ports with my sata3 greens or reds does that mean there will be speed difference which i will feel? - I swithced to IT mode succesfully and unraid detect all 10 sata 3 including LSI. Is there any other option you recommend me to change or edit in bios? - Is there any benefit for home use to use both LANs with unraid6? Like streaming in 2 different xbmc at the same time? Or no value add for home user? - Is there any plugin site or in forum for unraid6? Sorry for this question too many things to do at the same time. My Config is Supermicro MBD-X10SL7-F-O Mainboard Sockel LGA 1150 Crucial CT2KIT102472BD160B Speicher, 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) Seasonic SS-660XP2 Active PFC Platinum-660 PC-Netzteil (660 Watt, ATX 12V) Thank you,
  5. Thank you @shooga @Chugiak @tdallen After thinking alot i have decided to go on with budget model as my main usage will be streaming to 1 xbmc (HEVC 4K in near future) and no transcoding at the moment. So I will buy the parts which will not change high-end and i want to buy parts which i might change in the future cheaper depending on how i will use unraid 6. Which means i will pay PSU & SAS card good money but i will buy ram-cpu-mainboard average. Please advice me if below config seems ok. 6. Hi All, As i am using my old budget AMD unraid system for almost 4 years, now I decided to create a new system to use longer years. I am reading forums almost everyday and i am very confused now. Also i have to say that i am a regular user so mostly i do not understand anything when it goes to any code. For a long time after reading in forums i decided to have a Xeon but it is really hard for me to find either xeon cpu or a supermicro mainboard from my country. Also it is very expensive if i plan to buy in Germany when i go there and there won't be any warranty for me. Meanwhile one of my friends made me favor and get me D-316 Limetech case from USA with him which is excellent size and structure for me. My purpose: At the moment i will stream movies directly to XBMC and 4K H265 in near future. I will not use a transcoding but i might have try to stream 2 xbmcs in the future and maybe some of the new plugins which i didnt check the version 6 yet. So in the end i don't want to buy the cheapest atom and i can not find/afford a good xeon system as well. So i want to purchase a system with i3 and a good pci sata card. Please support me from the manufacturers which i can find. What i have: Limetech D-316M case 7x2tb WD green 3x6tb WD red What i decided to buy: 4x 500gb SSD (for catch but not in near future) Seasonic SS-650KM3 X650 80 Plus Gold ( please check if it is ok for 10x6tb wd red and 4x500gb ssd and i3) I really need suggestions for: Mainboard: Micro-Atx mainboard with at least 6 sataIII. I can easily buy from this manufacturers please try to suggest from those because it is very hard for me to find others in my country. Asus, Gigabyte, MSI, Asrock Sata Card: a good sataIII card which has a good performance/price. (with this 2xmini cable outputs ) CPU: i3 cpu model Ram: suitable for the system Sorry for the long post. Thank you very much. Will wait for help.
