  1. I just worked my issue out. Seems it was only in Chrome that the issue was happening, and I'd installed TunnelBear VPN extension for testing a coupoe of days ago but not put two and two together. I tested using Edge, Opera and Firefox and all was well. Disabled TunnelBear and BOOM Chrome working like a champ again. Weird one but .....
  2. Just happened yesterday. Updated to latest version via the plugins page about a week or so ago and haven't had any issues. Rebooted twice from SSH still not working Shares are fine, but I can't conenct to any of my docker apps or get the UI working. Get dial tcp 192.168.x.xx:80: getsockopt: connection timed out Returned in browser window. Anyone help me out??
  3. I deleted the .IMG file and reinstalled the apps and all good again :-)
  4. Ok, This just happened after a reboot: time="2015-10-23T17:40:33.240884535+11:00" level=fatal msg="Error starting daemon: Unable to open the database file: unable to open database file" Any ideas on where to start looking for a fix? tower-diagnostics-20151023-1800.zip
  5. .... Where do I get the actual licence? I've paid my 129 but I have no licence file and no email giving me any information other than thanks for paying and I'm confused now :-) Any help appreciated!
  6. Ok update time. Re-flashed my BIOS once more with the simple command line "load /c /v rr2760A.v13" and these are the defaults in that BIOS Changed them to After rebooted again .... Exactly the same thing boots into the RocketRAID BIOS screen. So I'm sat there remaining calm and thinking happy thoughts as it does it's normal second boot but this time it doesn't hang and goes into the USB device and boots correctly. I was a little excited about the whole thing. I assume it must be the stop on error setting that was mentioned?? Anyway a massive thank you to the community for going to the trouble of helping me out especially in no specific order garycase, pauven and electron286.
  7. I know, was a bit grumpy this morning. Thought I'd worked it all out, then finding out I hadn't :-) Don't play with server before having your first coffee of the day Don't play with server before having your first coffee of the day Don't play with server before having your first coffee of the day ... ...
  8. Yeah, it was early this morning when I did my last post, so was a little tired ;-) I'll be calling them today to see if they can help out. I need to do a new windows install before I can do this and I won't have time until the weekend There is no documentation that I can find anywhere about it, I noticed the switch in the readme for the bios update and added it to the go.bat to see what happened. But it essentially gives you a DOS version of this windows application. I dsabled both, saved the new bios file and then ran the load command with the newly minted bios update and ... ... exactly the same thing :-) Mark
  9. I've run the bios update. up to the latest 1.3, along with the /C switch to allow setting of the bios values. I've disabled INT13, saved the newly patched bios file and updated the card with it and still it boots into the raid card. Time to resign myself to the fact that nothing is going to fix this I think. It's all too difficult and if I have to reboot the fucking thing one more time it may well be sat 2 floors down in the garden ;-)
  10. So I think I need to get a Windows USB going and boot into that so I can update the BIOS and disable INT13 booting on the RocketRAID card. Looks like I have a fun night ahead of me :-)
  11. I have and there's nothing really in there other than array creation, deletion and initialization routines.
  12. I'll try that this evening when I get home from work, although I *think* I've already tried/done it. I'll give that a whack too So far as I'm aware I've been from having everything in default mode when I first got it to removing every option in the boot sections other than the boot device being the FireFly USB. I'll run through each again though and report back. I will! Thanks to all of you for the help, I'm really more of a software guy (C# developer) than a hardware guy ;-) Mark
  13. Yes, to make sure they're not detected during the search. I did, and it makes no difference :-) Hitting F6 and choosing to directly boot from the USB doesn't make any difference either.
  14. Ok, Cold start, post beeps etc. Shows bios start screen F2 for setup, F6 for boot menu etc Straight into RocketRAID screen with msg about search for drives. If I have any attached it list them on screen Then the screen goes blank Shows bios start screen F2 for setup, F6 for boot menu etc Then nothing, just sits there on blank screen so I assume its decided to select a drive and use it to try and boot from. So, I power off and pop out all the drives Cold start, post beeps etc. Shows bios start screen F2 for setup, F6 for boot menu etc Straight into RocketRAID screen with msg about search for drives. After a short time it shows there are no drives ** I can now start to push the drives back in again at this stage ** Then the screen goes blank Shows bios start screen F2 for setup, F6 for boot menu etc NOW if boots from unRAID USB and off we go.
  15. I hope so, but I can't see where. I'm pre-clearing a drive at the moment so I can't reboot and get screenshots of the bios settings, but boot #1 is my FireFly USB device. I'll post them tomorrow sometime.
  16. I did try this but it only allows you to select a disk in the array and not the USB, it's driving me nuts :-) I have to pop all the drives out, then it auto reboots after the rocketRAID screen and then I have to pop them all back in whilst it detects and boots from the USB drive. Very frustrating
  17. Hi, new server as here http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=28096.0 using RocketRAID 2760 card. When no drives installed it goes sits on the RocketRAID bois screen searching for devices, then restarts and boots from the USB. When drives are installed, bearing in mind that the USB and drives come from my old server, it goes into the RocketRAID screen and lists the drives then reboots and does nothing. BIOSis set to only boot from the firefly USB device but nothing?? Any pointers? Cheers!
  18. Mate, you're a bit of a star really aren't ya The server just arrived, unfortunately not where I currently am as I'm at work, but going to be a fun night tonight.
  19. Another quick question as server is out with courier for delivery :-) UPS. I'm unsure how to determine what "size" of UPS I need to cover 24 drives in the 4224 server. I'm looking at these http://www.apc.com/products/family/?id=27 but is it enough to get the 900va or should I plump for the 1200 or 1500 or should I be looking at some other UPS??
  20. Just a final thank you, server ordered!
  21. Excellent! I have to wait until tomorrow to have the cash in play anyway, so anymore advice?
  22. Thanks garycase, that certainly makes my day. Time to go spend some cash.
  23. Right, So my power supply just went tits up and took the motherboard with it which is a pain obviously, but it does present me with the task I've been avoiding for the past couple of years, i.e. build a new one. Now I assuming as the drives are all cool, I can simply build a new server and move the drives, in the correct order, across to the new server? I currently have a 15 bay tower but would like to go for a 24 bay rack mountable beast based on the Norco 4224 case. I came across this server, http://www.techbuy.com.au/p/128055/SYSTEMS_SERVERS/Techbuy/TBOS128055.asp, and wanted some input as to whether it would be compatible with unRAID 5 (unsure to the minor version) which I am running. I was pricing parts up to build myself, but if I can just get one "off the shelf" then I'd be much happier as it means I can get the wife back to Greys Anatomy quick smart. Mark
  24. Thanks to all, seems to just be "one of those things". The disk is active and fine just the light is full on.
