I have an old TS-451. 4 bay nas. I have Unraid 6.11 installed and at this moment Its, transferring my media to it. My external hard drive is connected and I'm transferring my media through Krusader. Transfer rate is 15mb to 30mb speed. Which I think is slow? I be only using this device as an Emby server. My question is this...There is three, four if you include the front USB ports on the device. Can I connect a TR004, which is the 4 bay expansion device from Qnap and connect it? Will Unraid see the drives? Can I add them to the array? If Unraid can see the device do I configure them as JBOD's or configure them as raid 5? Also if I connect an SSD to one of the USB ports can I then use it as a Cache drive? Any help greatly apprceiated. Thank You. Ian.

In the latest update of Windows 10. Microsoft have removed HomeGroup ? It is no longer available on my Pc. So, can I connect an external USB drive to the Unraid server and transfer Movies/Tv Shows that way? Or is there a "workaround" to transfer files over the internet?

Hi I have looked through the forums for answer to this question..So far have not seen any. I have Windows 10 Pro and I cannot access any of my shares from Tower? When I click to expand the Network. Tower does not show (but does on my laptop) and I cannot gain access to my shares such as Movies, TV Shows etc? I think this is a Windows 10 Pro issue as I've just built this new computer with a Ryzen 2600x and my old system I got access on Windows 10 Home. Any help is much appreciated. Thank You.

Again thanks for the reply. I bought the card from Amazon Uk...IOCrest PCI Express Card Sata 6G Model SI-PEX40064. Its PCIe bus 4 port non raid card. Thats all the information on the card? Amazon users say it Linux comparable but the box says only windows is supported. Regards.

Its an Incrust PCI Express card. I looked in the BIOs and I can't see the card or the other drives my first 6 are fro P1 to p5. The card came only with driver disc for windows. Thanks for your reply

Hi Im a new Unraid user. I converted a year old gaming Pc into a server. I have 10 hard drive bays but, my motherboard has only 6 Sata ports so I installed a PCI Expansion card for the other 4. When I power on the server. The w hole 10 hard Drives power up. But, in Unraid dashboard it only detects the 6? Is there a way for Unraid to detect the other 4? Or should I buy a 10+ data port motherboard? Thank you to the community I ran into a few problems being new to this...I converted from a Drobo 5N NAS. I found solutions here With Regards. Ian.
