  1. Awhile ago my power failed and my USB drive died. tom sent me a new one ASAP but I was thinking, that if I would of made abackup of the disk I could of just restored the image. I remember awhile ago reading on the AVS forum thread about creating a backup image and how to restore it (obviously only works to same hardware)... but I can't remember how to do it, nor find it in the thread... Can anyone help
  2. I tried hitting previous, didnt work.(forget the error, will report what itwas later) hit enter when the prompt came up, all it did was reboot. i will haveto try the ram
  3. When it boots I get the following: i try to hit enter (no root pw) and ctrl-d it just reboots any ideas?
  4. Tom, I found this card laying around my house and was wondering if I could use it. it says PDC20268 Ultra100 TX2 V2.0.0210.1 It seems to be giving me issues when I plug it in.
  5. Tom, What is the command from the prompt to shutdown the array? My machine keeps loosing web accessibility and I would like to be able to shutdown from telnet and then reboot the machine. Thanks -Derek
  6. what is the command via telnet to shut it down? I typically use shutdown now, then when it pops to the login, shut it down
  7. Apparently everything is ok now... The problem seemed to be with the router, not the server freezing up at all. I installed a new router and everything is working fine... parity drive is built and ready to go

  10. while letting my parity disk build overnight, my machine seem to of frozen so I rebooted the machine this morning and started building the disk again. The build got all the way to around 47% and then when i went to check it again, the webpage is unaccesable... (tries to get to it, but just sits there loading and loading, never comes up, then page cannot be displayed.... same thing that happened last night....).. shortly before this happened though the time went from 230 mins or so to 1900 mins remaining (no data was being copied)... Anyone have any idea whats going on?
  11. thanks for the info. I used to be an avid follower of the AVS forum thread, but haven't been following it much recently. Is there anything in the instructions I need to know? Currently my parity drive is building, so hopefully all is well
  12. nevermind Tom, I believe this was a case of user ignorance / being tired and not realizing everything was good to go already =) there isnt a way to password protect the website where everything is controlled is there?
