  1. Drives not detected on HP P420 Controller

    OK. Got a tarball from sourceforge. Copied it to unraid. telnet in as root. unzipped tarball. cd to relevent folder and tried to run make Bash says make not found. apt-get install make - bash says apt-get not found. Am I missing something fundamental here. I am zero experience with linux but trying to learn. I managed to compile hpsa.ko successfullty on my linux mint machine so it seems unraid may be lacking something necessary. Any help appreciated. Colin

    Hi, first post, unraid for about 6 months. I have a HP Smart Array p420 controller with latest firmware, set to HBA mode. Unraid is not seeing the HDD I have attached. Do I need a driver for this card? It is listed in the PCi devices in unraid tools - system devices as 06:00.0 RAID bus controller: Hewlett-Packard Company Smart Array Gen8 Controllers (rev 01) Any help greatly appreciated. Colin
