  1. Hello I just attempted to update from 6.1.3 to 6.2, but when i rebooted i couldn't get a connection to it. I hooked up a monitor to it and it is stuck at nothing, just the underscore blinking. Any advise on what i should do?
  2. And order of the other drives do not matter? Thanks for the help, though im 99,99% sure it has not been turned on since i left, maybe i turned it off wrong the last time, i don't remember.
  3. Hello So i just came back from a 4 month long world trip, the entire time my unraid server has been shut down. When i turned it on and went to the webpage, i found that all my drives have been unassigned, and i have no idea what order they where in, 4 months ago. What do i do? nicksnas2-diagnostics-20160629-0002.zip
  4. So i have installed owncloud and i want to be able to access it from the outside. I tried installing openvpn and it works fine, but sadly theres no client for my windows phone. I am wondering, why is it safer to use a vpn when it still has a loginscreen facing the ouside web the same as owncloud does?(as shown in the pictures) and i opened ports for both applications. http://imgur.com/VwIafiR http://imgur.com/PuJL8cB
  5. Thanks Man that was it had it stored from all the time i spent trying out Freenas and OMV i guess
  6. Ok so i just set up my unRaid server (i haven't bought it jet, i will when it works as it should, don't know if that has any affect on my problem) So there's two ways to access the NAS in windows explorer as far as i know, by typing "\\ip-address" or "\\nas-network-name". Either of them yields the same result, i can see the shares that i have created. When i try and open a share using "\\ip-address" it works fine, it ask me for a username and a password. When i try and open a share using "\\nas-network-name" i get full read/write access, no entering username and password, just directly to full access. This kinda ruins the point of having users and passwords if anyone can just use the ip-address and get read/write access Is there a fix for this or can i maybe disable access through the ip-address? thank you
