  1. Oops. Here you go. tower-diagnostics-20190428-1153.zip
  2. Hi all So I've recently decided to revamp an old HP Microserver NL36 and use is as a second Unraid server. I decided to treat myself to 2 10tb WD Reds however prior to this my biggest drive was a 6tb red. Anyway I've literally installed the disks and kicked off a parity sync however its been running for 4 hours and I still have an estimated 2 days and 7 hours left. I know these are big drives so I can understand it will be slower, but thought I would ask the community is this seems normal? At the moment its running at 45.6 MB/sec but it fluctuates. Thanks in advance. 3. Just reviewed some of the logs and I see what you mean about the 10.0.0.29 device. I guess maybe it was a looping browser keeping connections? Odd though, I swear historically I've logged onto my Unraid for multiple devices and not necessarily always logged off yet this is the first time I've seen the error and not been able to access the GUI, even after a reboot. Do you know if there is a mechanism in place that stops access after maybe too many logons? I'm just trying to suss out what alert in the syslog means. It almost seems like there is a ACL isolating access after too many incorrect retries. 4. Hi Squid It seems you were right. I checked both my desktop and Laptop and my laptop had a Unraid window open in another tab. Closed both and rebooted both devices, then turned on my Unraid server and I once again have access to my GUI. Thank you for quick reply and help, had a mini panic attack but better now! :)
  5. Hi Thanks for the quick reply, here is the log file.
  6. Hi there I need some help. When I try to logging onto my Unraid 6.6.6 I get this 503 error. I've tried both Chrome and IE 11 and it happens on each. I can still access my shares and see files. I can also access via SSH and the last thing I did was run a parity check which was supposed to finish earlier on in the day. I'm not really sure how to troubleshoot this. Annoyingly my instant thought having worked in IT was to power cycle it however that made no difference and I'm going to say that has probably killed off the logs. Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks
  7. Hi Johnnie Thank you for the quick reply. Just to let you know I tried this and it worked I thought if someone else happened to stumble upon this I might share my experience. So basically the advice above says I need to run this 'btrfs device remove /dev/sdm1 /mnt/cache' To validate which drive to pick you can run the below to show the cache pool file systemB root@Tower:~# btrfs filesystem show Label: none uuid: 41f91f58-0b73-48aa-b3c7-a65acdb13903 Total devices 3 FS bytes used 20.40GiB devid 1 size 447.13GiB used 203.03GiB path /dev/sdm1 devid 2 size 223.57GiB used 102.00GiB path /dev/sdo1 devid 3 size 223.57GiB used 100.03GiB path /dev/sdj1 Label: none uuid: 3fa3efba-3568-4155-b514-198edbd4cb23 Total devices 1 FS bytes used 1.32GiB devid 1 size 10.00GiB used 4.02GiB path /dev/loop0 You can then identify the drive and the partition. It probably took me about 30-35 minutes for the drive to become empty after running the command. I opened a second SSH and ran the above command a few times to keep a track of progress. I've attached a little photo to help explain it too, in the end I ended up adding 2 more drives.
  8. Hello there Unraid community. Unraid 6.2.4 I have a SSD Cache currently made of 3 disks (sdm) 480GB SSD (sdo) 240 GB SSD (sdj) 240 GB SSD I am currently using 22.0GB with 458GB Free. I would like to remove the 480GB SSD to use for something else. Albeit I have been using Unraid for almost a year some of the procedures are still a little difficult to grasp. It's currently using a BTRFS file system. Any help would be much appreciated. I did think about removing the biggest disk and letting it rebuild, however I don't want to put something else in its place, I just want to shrink the cache pool. Thanks in advance.
  9. Hi. This might not work however I recently had a issue with Plex. I'm using the Docker provided by Limetech. When I click to go to the WebUI via the Docker panel I get this error on Chrome. This page isn’t working 192.168.0.8 didn’t send any data. ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE I removed the docker and re-added and the same thing. It also does it on other browsers. I actually updated PMS today but it was doing the same before I did the update. Turns out the default path was incorrect. Unraid 6.2.4 URL is http://192.168.0.8:32400/web/index.html I needed to add the S to make it secure, now I get to the Logon https://192.168.0.8:32400/web/index.html
  10. Hi Apologies for the dim question but I couldn't find the answer. The prime use for my Unraid (6.1.9) is for Plex. I basically want to move data from one drive to another so I can remove it from the array. There is plenty of space on the array before you ask. Can I just putty onto the unraid box and use midnight commander to copy data from one disk to another or is it more complicated? I saw a video Jon did about migrating Steam Games but wasn't sure if it was applicable in all scenarios, but I thought I would ask before I break my PMS. Here's is a brief breakdown of my setup Parity - 6tb Disk1 - 6tb Disk2 - 6tb Disk3 - 6tb Disk4 - 6tb Disk5 - 4tb Disk6 - 4tb Disk8 - Red X (Currently replaced with a hot spare but I want to move data off the drive so I can remove it again) Cache - 480GB Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  11. Can anyone recommend a motherboard / SAS expander / Sata controller that's compatible with Unraid 6?
  12. Hello So I've been looking at using unraid for a while now but I thought I would post to ask for some advice as to what hardware to go for. I was going to go for a Asrock C2750D4I however I've seen lots of threads about people having issues with the Marvell controllers so haven't invested yet. I now want to build a 20 bay chassis in a tower case. I plan to use 5x 3.5-inch in 3x 5.25-inch enclosures so I can have space for lots of drives. I currently have a bunch of WD Greens and Reds, a mix of 2 and 3 TBs (approx 9 drives) With regards to use its just going to be for storage, no plans to do any virtualisation and for a budget ideally maximum of £800. I was liking the sound of SOC motherboards however not sure what expansions cards to use that are compatible with unraid 6. Thanks in advance.
