  1. Since I have SSH, I've been just cat'ting the files to see what's in them. It's not looking good; even the filenames aren't valid in a lot of cases. So, just start taking screenshots of the running configurations, and rebuild what I can once I've rebooted onto a new Flash drive seems like my only course of action? There's no way to dump the config which is already in memory?
  2. Thanks - I've been following that page and I've prepped a new flash drive. But will Unraid be able to re-establish my shares and docker configurations and VMs based on what's already on the hard disks, or will those be lost because the flash drive /boot/config directory is corrupted?
  3. I've been checking in all the usual places where I might have a flash backup downloaded, (uncorrupted), but at this point I'm assuming that it's gone.
  4. It appears the my flash drive is no longer functioning; I've ssh'd into the machine, and /boot is full of random looking garbage. For example, /boot/config/parity-checks.log has things like this: 2022<A0>May ^Q5 1;:1$:03|^T<B7>642|!26.0 MB's|0|0 202b I<E1>y 2" 13:20:35|4>034|124/9 MB/s|0|0 2<B0>22 Iay 2y 12:15:0^R\47701~165.8 MB/s|0|0 2022 Htn 5 13:"8:47|48526|123^N7 MB/s}0|2022 J<F5>n 12 93^Z47:53~49672|120.8 EJ/s|0| <B2>022"Jun 19 33:16:54|476;3|125.8 MBos|0| r022 Jun!26 13:14:14|4^W653|125.9 MB/s|0t4 2022 J<F5>l` 3 !3:14:42<47681~325.9 MB/s|0|8 r022 Jul 10 13:14:39|47278|125.9 MB/r| |1 002: Jul 15 13:24:11|48250|120.4 OB/s|0|0 My Plus.key file also appears to have high-ASCII characters. So, given that the machine is still running, is it possible to export the running config that's in memory, so that my shares, Docker configs, etc, are all retained? I did a flash backup, but I think it would be GIGO at this point. Or do I obtain a fresh flash drive and reboot with that? Knowing which drive is parity and which are data is easy, because my parity is larger than my data drives. But what about all the other settings? My Plus.key is from 2016, so I don't know that I have that email around any longer. tower-diagnostics-20230223-1805.zip
  5. v6.9.0-rc2. Configuration of how dates and times appear is spread over multiple Settings > User Preferences. Display Settings has one kind of date configuration, and then Notification Settings has another. And I don't even think that they're the same; Notifications had DD-MM-YYYY. Please consider putting all date/time options in the Settings > System Settings > Date and Time option, and collapse to a single standard. If I select YYYY-MM-DD, I wouldn't expect that I'd see that format in one place, but a different format in another. (Notification popup vs. a log message for example).
  6. I have a 4 drive array of 5TB drives with a single parity disk. One of the 5TB drives in the array has gone bad. A 6TB drive is actually cheaper than 5TB now, so that's what I purchased. Can I install the 6TB drive as a second parity disk, rebuild, then take the existing 5TB parity disk and turn it into a standard drive? This will allow me to upgrade to 6 TB drives in the future, because the parity drive will already be 6TB.
  7. UnRaid 6.7.2 Plus. I had updates available for Plex and for CrashPlan Pro, did the "update all", and saw that Crashplan started to update. Came back a while later, and not only did CPP not update, but now both Dockers are missing. Are all my drive mappings gone?
  8. Follow-up question. Is 8GB _too small_? A 16G super-low profile USB 2 drive at Amazon is $7.68; what sorts of things end up taking space on the flash drive?
  9. Thanks everyone. I wasn't aware that the flash drive is used for all the plugins, but that makes sense. I'll stick with the 8GB for now.
  10. I'm still in my trial period, but when I initially setup my system I used an 8GB flash drive, because it was handy. I now realize that I could use a 512MB stick, but I don't want to lose what's already been uploaded to the array. If I re-install onto the 512MB, when I boot and then point it at the array of disks, will it just assume that they all need to be blanked? If yes, is there a way to ensure that I don't lose my existing data?
  11. Right, which why I'm confused about why I can't mount nfs4. Hopefully, someone who does have it working will just say, you're doing it wrong, dummy, and post the config on the unRaid side, and how they're mounting on the Ubuntu side, and then we're done.
  12. Thanks. But according to this: http://lime-technology.com/wiki/index.php/UnRAID_Manual_6#NFS_.28Network_File_System.29 There should already be NFSv4 available? I'm not seeing where I should be able to update a share for NFSv4
  13. unRaid 6.1.6, Mythbuntu 14.04.03 Can't seem to get it to work. On unRaid, I have: root@Tower:~# showmount -e Export list for Tower: /mnt/user/test * # cat /etc/exports # See exports(5) for a description. # This file contains a list of all directories exported to other computers. # It is used by rpc.nfsd and rpc.mountd. "/mnt/user/test" -async,no_subtree_check,fsid=100 *(sec=sys,rw,insecure,anongid=100,anonuid=99,all_squash) But mounting on the MythBuntu side presents: # mount -t nfs4 -o user=guest,proto=tcp,port=2049 tower.local:/test t mount.nfs4: Protocol not supported Same for: mount -t nfs4 -o user=guest,proto=tcp,port=2049 tower.local:/mnt/user/test t mount.nfs4: Protocol not supported But nfsv3 works: mount -t nfs -o user=guest tower.local:/mnt/user/test t Am I doing something incorrect on the unRaid or MythBuntu host?
