  1. I upgraded to 6.0 Beta12 and the docker setup is different. I'm not sure what to do. Prior I had a button labeled Apps and a button for dockers. Now I only have dockers and need to choose a default image and location. What am I supposed to put here? Are my previous dockers gone?
  2. I have 16GB of RAM and its always almost completely utilized. Is this normal? Is there a way to see whats using it? The only activity currently on the server is Plex running and transcoding to 1 host on the LAN. The system is a E3-1240 V2 with supermicro board, 16GB RAM and 6 2TB disks. I occasionally have the unraid web interface become non responsive and searching the threads it sounds like it gets killed when memory is full. I've ran memory check with no issues, two 8GB Kingston ECC. I'm not real familiar with linux so maybe this is normal. root@Tower:~# free -m total used free shared buffers cached Mem: 16090 15798 291 0 65 14217 -/+ buffers/cache: 1516 14573 Swap: 0 0 0 root@Tower:~# free -m total used free shared buffers cached Mem: 16090 15804 286 0 64 14320 -/+ buffers/cache: 1418 14671 Swap: 0 0 0 root@Tower:~# more /proc/meminfo MemTotal: 16476308 kB MemFree: 302924 kB MemAvailable: 14883768 kB Buffers: 66608 kB Cached: 14554584 kB SwapCached: 0 kB Active: 7908096 kB Inactive: 7117104 kB Active(anon): 799152 kB Inactive(anon): 34144 kB Active(file): 7108944 kB Inactive(file): 7082960 kB Unevictable: 0 kB Mlocked: 0 kB SwapTotal: 0 kB SwapFree: 0 kB Dirty: 484 kB Writeback: 0 kB AnonPages: 404036 kB Mapped: 92724 kB Shmem: 429280 kB Slab: 960704 kB SReclaimable: 895784 kB SUnreclaim: 64920 kB KernelStack: 5504 kB PageTables: 6816 kB NFS_Unstable: 0 kB Bounce: 0 kB WritebackTmp: 0 kB CommitLimit: 8238152 kB Committed_AS: 1120332 kB VmallocTotal: 34359738367 kB VmallocUsed: 304548 kB VmallocChunk: 34359428508 kB AnonHugePages: 133120 kB DirectMap4k: 6660 kB DirectMap2M: 16742400 kB top - 15:40:00 up 1 day, 3:10, 1 user, load average: 1.26, 1.37, 0.94 Tasks: 201 total, 1 running, 198 sleeping, 2 stopped, 0 zombie Cpu(s): 2.7%us, 10.2%sy, 0.2%ni, 86.9%id, 0.0%wa, 0.0%hi, 0.0%si, 0.0%st Mem: 16476308k total, 16180028k used, 296280k free, 66608k buffers Swap: 0k total, 0k used, 0k free, 14561480k cached PID USER PR NI VIRT RES SHR S %CPU %MEM TIME+ COMMAND 23780 unraid-p 20 0 1971m 106m 19m S 100 0.7 49:42.16 Plex Media Serv 24605 unraid-p 20 0 1285m 103m 11m S 4 0.6 3:14.77 Plex New Transc 19337 root 20 0 168 40 28 S 0 0.0 0:00.58 runsv 23769 root 20 0 168 40 28 S 0 0.0 0:39.72 runsv 1 root 20 0 4356 1552 1456 S 0 0.0 0:08.60 init 2 root 20 0 0 0 0 S 0 0.0 0:00.02 kthreadd 3 root 20 0 0 0 0 S 0 0.0 0:01.43 ksoftirqd/0 5 root 0 -20 0 0 0 S 0 0.0 0:00.00 kworker/0:0H 7 root 20 0 0 0 0 S 0 0.0 0:22.25 rcu_sched 8 root 20 0 0 0 0 S 0 0.0 0:00.00 rcu_bh 9 root RT 0 0 0 0 S 0 0.0 0:00.51 migration/0 10 root RT 0 0 0 0 S 0 0.0 0:00.25 migration/1 11 root 20 0 0 0 0 S 0 0.0 0:00.46 ksoftirqd/1 13 root 0 -20 0 0 0 S 0 0.0 0:00.00 kworker/1:0H 14 root RT 0 0 0 0 S 0 0.0 0:00.25 migration/2 15 root 20 0 0 0 0 S 0 0.0 0:00.46 ksoftirqd/2 16 root 20 0 0 0 0 S 0 0.0 0:02.12 kworker/2:0 17 root 0 -20 0 0 0 S 0 0.0 0:00.00 kworker/2:0H 18 root RT 0 0 0 0 S 0 0.0 0:00.23 migration/3 19 root 20 0 0 0 0 S 0 0.0 0:00.49 ksoftirqd/3 21 root 0 -20 0 0 0 S 0 0.0 0:00.00 kworker/3:0H 22 root RT 0 0 0 0 S 0 0.0 0:00.44 migration/4 23 root 20 0 0 0 0 S 0 0.0 0:00.17 ksoftirqd/4 24 root 20 0 0 0 0 S 0 0.0 0:00.00 kworker/4:0 25 root 0 -20 0 0 0 S 0 0.0 0:00.00 kworker/4:0H 26 root RT 0 0 0 0 S 0 0.0 0:00.38 migration/5 27 root 20 0 0 0 0 S 0 0.0 0:00.07 ksoftirqd/5 29 root 0 -20 0 0 0 S 0 0.0 0:00.00 kworker/5:0H 30 root RT 0 0 0 0 S 0 0.0 0:00.59 migration/6 31 root 20 0 0 0 0 S 0 0.0 0:00.09 ksoftirqd/6 33 root 0 -20 0 0 0 S 0 0.0 0:00.00 kworker/6:0H 34 root RT 0 0 0 0 S 0 0.0 0:00.43 migration/7 35 root 20 0 0 0 0 S 0 0.0 0:00.06 ksoftirqd/7 37 root 0 -20 0 0 0 S 0 0.0 0:00.00 kworker/7:0H 38 root 0 -20 0 0 0 S 0 0.0 0:00.00 khelper 39 root 20 0 0 0 0 S 0 0.0 0:00.00 kdevtmpfs 40 root 0 -20 0 0 0 S 0 0.0 0:00.00 netns 167 root 0 -20 0 0 0 S 0 0.0 0:00.00 writeback 172 root 25 5 0 0 0 S 0 0.0 0:00.00 ksmd 175 root 39 19 0 0 0 S 0 0.0 0:02.13 khugepaged 181 root 0 -20 0 0 0 S 0 0.0 0:00.00 bioset 183 root 0 -20 0 0 0 S 0 0.0 0:00.00 crypto 188 root 0 -20 0 0 0 S 0 0.0 0:00.00 kblockd 435 root 0 -20 0 0 0 S 0 0.0 0:00.00 ata_sff 446 root 20 0 0 0 0 S 0 0.0 0:00.01 khubd 451 root 0 -20 0 0 0 S 0 0.0 0:00.00 devfreq_wq 561 root 0 -20 0 0 0 S 0 0.0 0:00.00 rpciod 603 root 20 0 0 0 0 S 0 0.0 0:10.50 kswapd0 672 root 20 0 0 0 0 S 0 0.0 0:00.02 fsnotify_mark 693 root 0 -20 0 0 0 S 0 0.0 0:00.00 nfsiod 698 root 0 -20 0 0 0 S 0 0.0 0:00.00 cifsiod 749 root 0 -20 0 0 0 S 0 0.0 0:00.00 acpi_thermal_pm 824 root 0 -20 0 0 0 S 0 0.0 0:00.00 vfio-irqfd-clea 839 root 20 0 0 0 0 S 0 0.0 0:01.16 kworker/4:1 913 root 0 -20 0 0 0 S 0 0.0 0:00.00 bioset
  3. What does your docker run command look like? docker run -d --net="host" --name="plex" -v /mnt/cache/appdata/plexdocker/config:/config -v /mnt/user/Media:/data -v /etc/localtime:/etc/localtime:ro -p 32400:32400 needo/plex
  4. I'm new to dockers and I'm running the latest beta with a fresh install. I've tried two plex dockers, eschultz and needo. Both seem to have installed fine but with needo i was unable to access the web gui for plex, and with eschultz I was unable to add media folders. Below are the commands I installed with. needo: docker run -d --net="host" --name="plex" -v /mnt/cache/appdata/plexddocker/config:/config -v /mnt/user/Media:/data -v /etc/localtime:/etc/localtime:ro -p 32400:32400 needo/plex eschultz docker run -d --net="host" --name="plex" -v /mnt/cache/appdata/plexddocker/config:/config -v /mnt/user/Media:/data -p 32400:32400 eschultz/docker-plex My media is located in a share called media with a subfolder for TV and another one for Movies (/mnt/user/Media). With eshultz I can log into plex and it browses root directory but when I click on any of the folders they are all empty, it shows no subfolders. Any ideas on why needo isn't working? Any ideas on why I cant browse to the directory with eschultz?
  5. With a fresh install of the newest beta I'm unable to access the web gui for plex. Any suggestions? This is my first time installing a docker. I tried a different plex docker and it worked but this one does not?
  6. I responded to you in another thread. I think you may be right, I'll try from another email account. Thanks. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using Tapatalk
  7. Thanks, I'll try from another email account. I originally sent an email using their Web form and a copy of the same email from my Gmail so I figured they should have gotten at least one. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using Tapatalk

  9. It's been over 5 days since my usb drive failed and I've gotten no response. Luckily it's just a major inconvenience for myself and it hasn't cost me any money, definitely would not recommend this for anything that's tied to your income.
  10. Is there another way of doing it? I emailed them five or six days ago, before I made this post and haven't heard anything.
  11. What is the process to transfer a license key to a new flash drive? My current drive is failing and I'd like to get it replaced as soon as possible, thanks!
  12. I'm unable to install any packages from my flash drive. I get this error: /sbin/installpkg: line 439: echo: write error: No space left on device The for example i was trying to install "/boot/extra/python-2.7.3-i686-5PTr.txz" so from a telnet session i typed "installpkg /boot/extra/python-2.7.3-i686-5PTr.txz" and I recieved the error. It happens for any package. this is the full output i get: My flash drive only has 280mb of a 4GB drive. I'm able to copy to and from the drive through explorer and MC just fine.
  13. Yes. I'm getting the same thing. Any ideas?
  14. Is there a tutorial on ftp configurations? I'd like to create an FTP user that has access to a specific directory but the only option I have is to add users and they are given full permission to all my shares. Is there something I'm missing?
  15. Figured it out. After setting the use cache under the user share section i had to restart unraid and then the share showed back up.
  16. I upgrade from RC to the official 5.0 and I noticed my cache only share called 'apps' is now gone? I tried to recreate it and noticed there is no "cache only" option in user share anymore. Any idea how to get that back?
  17. So all my drives/shares will be recognized after a fresh install of the flash? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using Tapatalk 2
  18. Is there an easy way to reinstall unraid? I have 7 disks total but currently only two in the array that have data, one cache with apps (sab/sick/couchpotato/plex ect). I want to start fresh with unraid and all the apps/plugins I'm using but not have to transfer the data out and in or preclear if that is possible? BACKGROUND: I installed just about every plugin I could find seeing what they did then decided to uninstall the ones I didn't use. Simple features was difficult to uninstall and I couldn't get it uninstalled completely. I played around with the go script and other scripts/adodons seeing the capabilities and somewhere along the line things I messed things up. My transfer rate between drives is horrible, ~5Mbps usually (using MC). The web interface becomes unresponsive after a few hours of running and after a few days the apps running (plex/sickbeard/couch) start becoming very slow and eventually unresponsive requiring a restart. I've lurked the forums and tried many of the fixes for individual problems but nothing has worked. I did identify a bad sata cable and replaced it clearing up some errors but didn't really solve my problems.
  19. Awesome! Yes, the NIC was the only difference listed on the spec sheet. I'll go with the iif, thanks!!
  20. I ordered a X9SCM-F from Ebay that was DOA and had to be sent back. No I'm ordering from new egg and both X9SCM-IIF and X9SCM-F-O are the same price, is there a prefference? I'm usin a Xeon E3-1240 if that makes a difference. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813182773 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813182253
  21. I’m deciding to upgrade my old server and need suggestions for some parts. Currently I will be running six 2TB drives but will be adding more down the road. It will run the latest unRAID RC along with several plugins including Sab, Sickbeard, Couchpotato, crashplan, sql, plex and using the ftp/web server functions. The primary use will be media server and data backup. It will be in the living room and on 80% of the time so I’d like to keep it as quiet as possible. Parts I have: Mobo: SuperMicro X9SCM-F http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813182658 CPU: Intel Xeon E3-1240 V2 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819117285 Parts I need: RAM: SuperMicro X9SCM-F http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813182658 Is this fine or should I get something else? It was the cheapest one with several good reviews. PSU: No idea??? I have no idea what size and type of PSU I should get. I won’t be running more than 10 drives (WD Green and Hitachi coolspin). If someone could recommended a PSU that is compatable with the X9SCM-F and the right size for my needs. Case Option 1: Fractal Design Define R4 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811352020 Case Option 1: NZXT H2 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811146072 Either one better performing? My main concern is quiet. Other Questions Any suggestions for a quiet heatsink/fan or is the stock good? Are the stock fans on the NZXT and R4 quiet or should I get replacement ones, if so what ones? Anything else I should consider?
  22. I have a new/unopened M1015 controller with two SFF-807 breakout cables (3ware CBL-SFF8087OCF-10M) to support up to 8 drives. I purchased these about a week ago but decided to upgrade my motherboard instead so I will not need these. I paid about $130 plus shipping for these, asking $100 shipped priority with tracking in the US. Heres an image. Its not opened but you can see the model number. http://i.imgur.com/Z8gFLB3.jpg
