I found this quad nic, Hpe HP Ethernet 1Gb 4P 331FLR Adpt, cheep in my country (around 20$). It's not Intel but Broadcom chipset. Am new to networking and wondering if this is any good and worth buying? How do i add gpu rom manually to sealbios in unraid 6.2.1? I did this in 6.1.9 by adding "romfile=/mnt/user/sharename/foldername/rom.bin" Thanks!

I didnt follow The instruction before upgrading because my web gui become weird and forced me to update to 6.2. I tried to follow them now instead. I did this: For each VM, go to the VMs tab, click the VM's icon, and select the Edit option Turn on "Advanced View" in the top right of the Edit VM page If you are using VNC for the primary graphics card, adjust the VNC Video Driver field to QXL Click Apply Even if your VM isn't using VNC (such as GPU pass through), you should perform the above procedure. I also tried starting the VM using only VNC and no gpu passthrough. Mycket server freezed again. Forgott to disable hyper v when using VNC.

Not sure if I can post diagnostics because my whole unraid server freezes when the VM starts. I then haft to restart the server by pressing the power button on computer. Don’t the diagnostic then get lost after reboot? Tell me if I am wrong and I will fix it.

Hello i just updated to 6.2 and when i start my w10 vm i can only see the windows logo freezing and then my whole unraid freezes. I have a nvidia gt 210 for passthrough and on 6.1.9 i hade to add gpu rom manually. I have tried enabling hyper v but it didnt help. Bios is seabios. What is wrong?

I installed the docker now but why do not the installation folder end up in the appdata folder where all my other dockers located?

Ok thats sad to here. I think a still can return the graphics card. Which is the cheapest graphics card that works in VM? What did you mean with safe removal? Should I disable the graphics card in windows 10 before I close windows 10 or the vm?

Hey! Problem: I have problems with GPU passthrough with my windows 10 VM. Everything works perfectly until I restart my VM. Then the screen stops working. It finds no signal at all. I have to reboot the entire unraid of the screen to work again. Hardware: Core i5 4460 GD65 MSI Z87 Gaming Motherboard 8 GB DDR 3 G.Skill tridentx. MSI G210 graphics card. (You know this is a old card, newly bought, but just wanted something that gave me PCIe output because unraid dont seem to work with Intel HD graphics. Just want to have picture and will not do anything demanding.) Things I've tried: I changed the motherboard BIOS to use Intel HD (IDG) for unraid and not the graphics card (PEG). Finds no new BIOS for the graphics card. Have tried to manually provide unriad GPU ROM file. This gave me an error message, so I could not start the VM. What I did was to first download the BIOS file to the G210 from http://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/. I put the file in a share. I added, "x-vga = on, romfile = / mnt / user / sharename / foldername / rom.bin" after "qemu: arg value = 'vfio-pci host = 01: 00.0, trick = root.1, addr = 00.0, multifunction = on " because I have sealbios. I changed the foldernames so that was right in my case. One question I have is whether to change the "rom.bin" to the name of the BIOS file. The file I downloaded was not a .bin file, but a .rom. Is the file right or wrong? When this did not work I download gpuz and save the video card BIOS to a .rom file. This did not work either. The same error when I try to start V M. Seems more like it is wrong to my code. I've tried to create a OVMF-based VM. Got no image, so could not install windows. Tried to install windows with graphics card this time and not through remote connection. Did not tried to restart unraid before starting this VM. The graphis card already had stopt working because of the first VM with sealbios. I read on unraid community to unraid 6.2 would fix something similar problem when graphics card stopped working after rebooting VM a few times. Do not know if this was exactly the same problem as mine but it seems like it to me. I have unraid 6.1.8 right now.

Can I use a CPU (Core i5 4670k) for virtualization when it only has VT-x? It does not have VT-d. What I want my computer to do is to act as a NAS, but also function as a standard Windows 10 machine. I'm just using it for web browsing and word, so it will not have a PCIe graphics card, but I want to use iGPU. So the real question is, can I use a CPU with VT-x but without VT-d virtualization of Windows 10 if I use iGPU as the video output, and not a PCIe graphics card? //Daniel
