  1. Hate to bring up an old thread but this is the newest one I have found that is relevant. I have two UNRAID servers, one running 6.12.0-RC5 and one running 6.11.5. My 6.11.5 server has the sort arrows but my 6.12.0-RC5 does not, is there something I need to do to enable this? It seems 6.12.0-rc5 sorts alphabetically and doesn't seem to let me order this. 6.11.5 6.12.0-rc5
  2. I have a "FreeNAS clone" I made to run my old unRaid off of. It has the Supermicro CSE-721TQ-250B Mini-Tower with 250W Power Supply, a Asrock Rack C2550D4I and 8 GB ram. Was only in service for a year before I upgraded it. All you would have to do is add your unRaid usb drive and some storage drives and you would be back in business. Let me know if you're interested.
  3. Hmm I think I'm catching on. I had each user create their folder with it set to public. After switching it to secure each users folder is locked to them. Not my most ideal setup as I would rather control that from the Administrator side but it takes care of my immediate issue. Looking forward to the next release hoping this is something that is built in for admins.
  4. I have been doing research on this and I think I understand the method but didn't find a specific guide on it. If I want to create one primary share IE \User_Backups, within this directory there will be folders such as \Bob, \Jim and \Tom. Obviously Bob is only supposed to access his directory but not Jim or Toms. Same for Jim with access to only \Jim and so on. Now obviously each if these users have read access to \User_Backups and can see the other users folders but can only access their own. My understanding is to achieve this is to use the smb-extra.conf as there is no way to do this through the GUI. It appears it existed in older revisions from some of the screenshots I saw. I have tinkered with the smb-extra.conf an example of which is below. [bob] path = /mnt/user/user_backups/bob valid users = bob write list = bob force user = root read only = no guest ok = no browseable = no I was looking for someone to either confirm this or point me in the direction away from my misunderstanding. P.S. Thanks Lime Tech for an awesome software. I'm glad a bought this one its way better than anything I have tried in the past.
  5. I feel sufficiently stupid now. Thank you for letting me know about the adblocker, would have never guessed that. I guess I should have tried a different browser at some point but I was convinced I botched my config somehow.
  6. I have created 3 user shares and I cannot make any changes to any of them now. I wanted to update the permissions and nothing shows up. Decided to try to build another and once again wouldn't show up after it was created. I have rebooted to see if that would cause them to update. The other odd thing is I see nothing under user utilities, not sure if this is broken for me or what. So I see the 3 shares I built in Windows and they follow the initial permissions I set, but now I can't change anything. I am wanting to get everything setup and run for a few weeks. I am really considering buying a full version if I can get everything working to my liking. So far it seems awesome.
