  1. Hi! This was definitely a hardware problem. The PCIe Sata card I got must have been crashing the system. I purchased a LSI 9211-8i and at first the problem seemed to go away. I also noticed during my shenanigans a fan cable became unplugged. The server was up for 10 days without a crash, but now it is happening again. Not every 4-5 days but now every 8-10 days. Some symptoms: - One day I logged into WEB UI and noticed Ram at 73% usage. I only have 16gb, maybe this is an issue? - A full parity check after new installation of the card revealed almost 10,000 errors. What do I do? - Is there anyway I can monitor system stats (cpu usage, RAM usage etc) before it crashes? I have 13 docker containers, and a home assistant VM running. The crashes are crippling my plex server and my smart home. I am really concerned about doing lasting damage having to hard reset the tower every week. Please help me figure this out!
  2. I think it is a hardware problem because this started happening after I installed 2 new drives. My setup has been unchanged for about a year, with plex, home assistant (VM), ARR dockers, duckDNS and thats about it. The crash just happened. I noticed because I am home and tried playing something on Plex. Some thumbnails wouldn't load, while others did. I tried clicking on media and got spinning. After about 10 minutes there was no connection to the server. I tried accessing unraid via browser and it wouldn't load. I pulled the USB stick, and I've attached syslog as of 7-28 4pm EST and then syslog-previous which was from 4 days ago. My usb is quite old. I think its usb3 but I can't be sure ATM. My server stays on 24/7 and I only reboot it after power outages (rare) or during these crashes. Seems to boot fine. syslog syslog-previous
  3. Yes. I have the syslogs to write to usb. So I will wait a few days until the crash happens again and instead of rebooting. I will yank the USB and put it into my windows PC. Would it be as easy and just plugging it in and copying the zipped file over? Thanks
  4. Thanks for linking how to do that. Here they are.. plexserver-diagnostics-20240725-1325.zip
  5. HI all I am an extreme noob here. Somehow I got unraid working with a handful of docker containers and a VM working flawlessly for 2 years. Recently, I added 2 new hard drives and thats when my problems began. For one, although everything seemed fine on my end. 1.) I could not reboot via UI, it would hang. Only hard reset would work 2.) Then I noticed My Plex users would not be able to load media until I restarted the server. 3.) After I got every single user to log out and log back in, things seemed fine 4.) Then I noticed every few days (about 4) the server hangs and must be restarted (hard reset) Or else nothing will work. I followed some instructions online and wrote syslog to the USB, but I have no idea how to read it, or post it. Please let me know what you need from me to help me get this problem solved.
